With this contribution I want to highlight in what terms pedagogy can modify and revolutionize social relationships and significantly transform social communities. To do this, the Philosophy for Children conceived by Ann Sharp and Matthew Lipman will be taken as a reference point. Kasvatus filosofiaan : tutkielma Matthew Lipmanin pedagogisesta ajattelusta

Tutkielma käsittelee lapsille suunnatun filosofian pioneerin Matthew Lipmanin pedagogista ajattelua. Tavoitteena on etsiä vastausta siihen, miksi Lipmanin mukaan filosofiaa tulisi opettaa lapsille kouluissa jo varhaisesta ikävaiheesta lähtien. Lisäksi tarkastelen lasten filosofointia kohtaan suunnattua kritiikkiä sekä Lipmanin ajatteluun mahdollisesti liittyviä teoreettisia ongelmia. Lähestymistapa on ongelmakeskeinen. Tutkielman alussa tarkastellaan koulutuksen standardiparadigmaa, jota Lipman pitää ongelmallisena. Kyseisessä paradigmassa kasvatus ymmärretään passiivisena tiedon siirtämisenä tietäviltä tietämättömille. Mallin tilalle Lipman ehdottaa itsenäiseen ajatteluun ja tiedon aktiivi…
