Effect of mechanically deboning of chicken on the rheological and sensory properties of chicken sausages

The current study was aimed to investigate the effects of different types and percentage of mechanically deboned chicken meat (MDC) on the textural and sensory properties of sausages in fried and nonfried condition. Cutting behavior, hardness, stringiness, gumminess, cohesiveness, chewiness, and resilience were evaluated on sausage with different percentage of MDC, using chicken fillet as a control. The result of the textural analysis showed that with a high percentage of MCD, the shear force, hardness, and stringiness increased in sausages. This study presents the results of an experimental study conducted to characterise the hydro-mechanical behaviour of shot-clay MX-80 bentonite. In the shot-clay process, granular bentonite was mixed continuously with water and shot on the walls of a tunnel section at the Grimsel Underground Research Laboratory (URL), in Switzerland. The shot-clay was placed to create a layer of bentonite in direct contact with the host rock to avoid preferential water and/or gas flow along the tunnel wall. Inflection points and topology of surfaces in 4-space

We consider asymptotic line fields on generic surfaces in 4-space and show that they are globally defined on locally convex surfaces, and their singularities are the inflection points of the surface. As a consequence of the generalized Poincare-Hopf formula, we obtain some relations between the number of inflection points in a generic surface and its Euler number. In particular, it follows that any 2-sphere, generically embedded as a locally convex surface in 4-space, has at least 4 inflection points.

This paper deals with the problem of a logistics company that has to serve its customers by first putting the products on pallets and then loading the pallets into trucks. Besides the standard geometric constraints of products not overlapping each other and not exceeding the dimensions of pallets and trucks, in this real problem, there are many other constraints, related to the total weight of the load, the maximum weight supported by each axle, and the distribution of the load inside the truck.
