Abstract This paper deals with the problem of a distribution company that has to serve its customers by putting first the products on pallets and then loading the pallets onto trucks. We approach the problem by developing and solving integer linear models. We start with basic models, that include the essential features of the problem, such as respecting the dimensions of the truck, and not exceeding the total weight capacity and the maximum weigh capacity on each axle. Abstract We address the multi container loading problem of a company that serves its customers’ orders by building pallets with the required products and loading them into trucks. The problem is solved by using integer linear models. To be useful in practice, our models consider three types of constraints: geometric constraints, so that pallets lie completely inside the trucks and do not overlap; weight constraints, defining the maximum weights supported by a truck and by each axle, as well as the position of the centre of gravity of the cargo; and dynamic stability constraints. Publication and study of the “lletres de batalla” (written challenges to combat) exchanged by the Valencian nobles Don Pero Maça de Liçana and Joan Francesc de Pròixita. The affair ended in a combat, with the King of Navarre as judge, which took place at Pau (Bearn) on 5 February 1487. The dispute had a considerable impact on contemporaries and was picked up by historians and later writers.

Masteroppgave i Nordisk språk og litteratur 2006 - Høgskolen i Agder, Kristiansand Formålet med oppgaven var å studere ulike sceniske bilder i Christina Hesselholdts Marlon- Trilogi, som er en veldig visuell tekst. Jeg ville se på litterære bilder med fokus på metafor og metonymi, og på fotografiets betydning i romanen, fordi krysningsfeltet mellom kunst og litteratur interesserer meg. Siden jeg ønsket å ta utgangspunkt i kroppsperspektivet, valgte jeg det som en egen analysedel i besvarelsen. Tematisk sett befinner de ulike kroppene i teksten seg på grensen mellom liv og død, hvor mange tekstbilder trekker mot jorden i en nedadgående bevegelse, mens andre bilder igjen står i parallelt forh…
