The New World species of the subgenera Allotrichoma Becker and Neotrichoma (new subgenus) are revised, including a phylogenetic analysis of the species groups and subgenera within the genus Allotrichoma. For phylogenetic perspective and to document the monophyly of the genus Allotrichoma and its included subgenera and species groups, we also provide a cladistic analysis of genera within the tribe Hecamedini. The ingroup included seven exemplar congeners from within Allotrichoma. Outgroup sampling included exemplars of other genera within Hecamedini and from the putative sister group, Lipochaetini, and to root the analysis, we used an exemplar of the tribe Discocerinini. Quantum Motion of Chemisorbed Hydrogen on Ni Surfaces

Quantum mechanical energy levels and wave functions have been calculated for the motion of chemisorbed hydrogen atoms on Ni surfaces. The results show considerable quantum effects for the adatom in both the ground and the excited states. The description of the adparticles as being delocalized along the surface offers a novel interpretation of several phenomena, in particular the vibrational excitations. Peer reviewed

Molecules of the title compound, C7H7FN2O2, are composed of a nitramine group which is twisted with the respect to the aromatic ring, with an N—N—C—C torsion angle of −117.38 (12)°. In the molecule, the N—N bond length [1.3510 (15) Å] indicates some double-bond character, while the angle between the aromatic ring and the nitramine group rules out further delocalization in the molecule. In the crystal, C—H...F hydrogen bonds connect the molecules intoC11(6) chains along theaaxis. C—H...O hydrogen bonds form, which featureR22(12) loops and further connect these chains.

Time series of remotely sensed data are an important source of information for understanding land cover dynamics. In particular, the fraction of absorbed photosynthetic active radiation (fAPAR) is a key variable in the assessment of vegetation primary production over time. However, the fAPAR series derived from polar orbit satellites are not continuous and consistent in space and time. Filtering methods are thus required to fill in gaps and produce high-quality time series.
