Laadullisen tutkimuksen päätavoitteena oli pureutua siihen, miten opettaja ymmärtää ja rakentaa pedagogisen auktoriteettinsa koulun arjessa. Koska auktoriteettisuhde ei todennu ajatuksissa, puheessa ja kuvitelmissa, tutkin myös, miten auktoriteetti toimii ja saa oikeutuksen luokkatilanteessa. Pedagoginen auktoriteetti liitetään taustakirjallisuudessa toisaalta varsinaisen vallankäytön ulkopuoliseen, kasvatukseen liittyvään auktoriteettisuhteeseen, toisaalta korostetaan henkilösuhteen merkitystä auktoriteettisuhteen muotoutumisessa. Effect of temperature on anaerobic treatment of black water in UASB-septic tank systems

The effect of northern European seasonal temperature changes and low temperature on the performance of upflow anaerobic sludge blanket (UASB)-septic tanks treating black water was studied. Three UASB-septic tanks were monitored with different operational parameters and at different temperatures. The results indicated the feasibility of the UASB-septic tank for (pre)treatment of black water at low temperatures with respect to removal of suspended solids and dissolved organic material. Inoculum sludge had little effect on COD(ss) removal, though in the start-up phase some poorly adapted inoculum disintegrated and washed out, thus requiring consideration when designing the process. A new approach for geological faults detection

This paper will introduce a new approach, mainly based on wavelets transform and mathematical morphology, for the detection of geological faults in satellite and aerial photos. This can be useful for territorial analysis, digital cartography and the use of geographical information systems. The proposed method is fast enough and unsupervised. Different techniques will be compared and some examples on real data will be presented to indicate the applicability of these methods.

In 2002, excavations carried out by Marie-Cécile Truc (Inrap) at Saint-Dizier led to the discovery of four graves of exceptional wealth, containing a young woman, two men and a horse, dated to c. 525-550 AD. Dressed and adorned with numerous jewels, the young female was laid in a coffin upon which were placed vessels in glass, copper alloy goblet and ceramic. Each male had been buried in an excavated funerary chamber, built within an oak frame. Introduction: Overweight people are often able to lose weight with the help of professionals, but majority (about 85 %) of the weight losers fail to maintain behavioral changes that would lead to favorable results in the long term [1‐3]. Studies suggest that obesity treatment failures may reflect motivational and contextual impediments to weight loss, rather than limitations of the behavior change strategies per se [4, 5]. Warm conveyor belts (WCBs) are important airstreams in extratropical cyclones, often leading to the formation of intense precipitation and the amplification of upper-level ridges. This study presents a case study that involves aircraft, lidar and radar observations in a WCB ascending from western Europe towards the Baltic Sea during the Hydrological Cycle in the Mediterranean Experiment (HyMeX) and T-NAWDEX-Falcon in October 2012, a preparatory campaign for the THORPEX North Atlantic Waveguide and Downstream Impact Experiment (TNAWDEX).
