Pastoralism is globally significant in social, environmental, and economic terms. However, it experiences crises rooted in misconceptions and poor interdisciplinary understanding, while being largely overlooked in international sustainability forums and agendas. Here, we propose a transdisciplinary research approach to understand pastoralist transitions using (1) social, economic, and environmental dimensions, (2) diverse geographic contexts and scales to capture emerging properties, allowing for cross-system comparisons, and (3) timescales from the distant past to the present. Background Association of physiological recovery with nutrition has scarcely been studied. We investigated whether physiological recovery during sleep relates to eating habits, i.e., eating behaviour and diet quality. Methods Cross-sectional baseline analysis of psychologically distressed adults with overweight (N = 252) participating in a lifestyle intervention study in three Finnish cities. Robot acceptance model for care (RAM-care) : A principled approach to the intention to use care robots

Robots are emerging in welfare services, and organizations require information on whether novel technologies are approved among staff. On the basis of technology acceptance theories, this study proposes a model that adds a principled approach to the intention to use care robots. Data of 544 professionals with care robot experience were collected. The use intention was predicted by usefulness, enjoyment, social influence, and attitude. Respondents who found robots useful and accepted by their colleagues were more likely to view robot use as consistent with their personal values. The aim of the study was to explore futures images of collaborative sustainability enhancement within a cruise ship building network. Addressing collaborative sustainability at the organizational level rather than at the macro (regional or planetary) level, the paper explores socially constructed and shared futures images, which are less widely studied than individual-level images of the future. We advance an analytical model for constructing and evaluating collectively held futures images based on the structure and content of those images. Tarkastelen pro gradu -tutkielmassani kunnan nimen merkitystä kunnan asukkaille. Tarkoituksenani on syventää ymmärrystä siitä, miksi kunnan nimi aiheuttaa paljon keskustelua kuntaliitoksen toteuttamisen aikana. Tutkielmaani varten keräsin Kouvolan seudun uuden kunnan nimeä käsitteleviä tekstiviestikommentteja Kouvolan Sanomien Napakat-mielipidepalstalta. Viestien analysoinnissa käytin lähilukua sekä tulkitsevaa diskurssianalyysia. Teoreettisena viitekehyksenä tutkielmassani toimivat kuntasamaistumisen ja psykologisen omistajuuden käsitteet. Erkki Kurenniemi (10.7.1941 – 1.5.2017) on kansainvälisesti tunnetuimpia suomalaisia musiikin avantgardisteja. Kuitenkin kesti kauan ennen kuin hänen arvonsa Suomessa tunnustettiin. Vasta 2000-luvulla häntä palkittiin ja hänen tuotantoaan ja toimintaansa alettiin laajemmin tutkia. Kurenniemen toimintakenttä taiteen alalla oli laaja käsittäen elektronisia soittimia ja sävellyksiä, elokuvia, mediataidetta ja tiedefantasioita. Kurenniemi oli koulutukseltaan fyysikko.
