The subjective experiences of participants in couple therapy have been explored through Stimulated Recall Interviews (SRIs), in which both clients and therapists come individually to watch video clips of their therapy sessions. We believe SRIs offer a good resource for Practice Oriented Research (POR) by promoting meaningful, flexible interplay between scientific research and clinical practice. Team members have different roles, either as “insiders” or “outsiders” of the therapeutic setting. Direct observation of a borane–silane complex involved in frustrated Lewis-pair-mediated hydrosilylations

Perfluorarylborane Lewis acids catalyse the addition of silicon–hydrogen bonds across C=C, C=N and C=O double bonds. This ‘metal-free’ hydrosilylation has been proposed to occur via borane activation of the silane Si–H bond, rather than through classical Lewis acid/base adducts with the substrate. However, the key borane/silane adduct had not been observed experimentally. Here it is shown that the strongly Lewis acidic, antiaromatic 1,2,3-tris(pentafluorophenyl)-4,5,6,7-tetrafluoro-1-boraindene forms an observable, isolable adduct with triethylsilane. Abstract Anticipatory effects mediated by epigenetic changes occur when parents modify the phenotype of their offspring by making epigenetic changes in their gametes guided by information from an environmental cue. To investigate when do anticipatory effects mediated by epigenetic changes evolve in a fluctuating environment, I use an individual based simulation model with explicit genetic architecture. Tässä työssä esitetään kuinka lineaarisissa ja epälineaarisissa elektroniikkapiireissä toimiva piirisimulaattoriohjelma voidaan toteuttaa oliokielellä. Työ aloitettiin itse kehitetyn TICER-yksinkertaistusalgoritmin pohjalta ja yhtenä työn motivaationa olikin tutkia kuinka kyseistä algoritmia voi käyttää muiden analysointimenetelmien apuna. Työn edetessä osoittautuikin, että TICER-yksinkertaistusta kannattaa käyttää muiden analysointimenetelmien apuna, sillä se voi nopeuttaa huomattavasti RC-piirien analysointia. Prospectives to tractor cabin design with computational acoustics tools

Computational acoustical models allow automated optimization of tractor design with respect to acoustic properties, which could speed up significantly the design process of tractor cabin prototypes. This article gives insightful prospectives to the tractor design process by considering modern computational acoustics technology. Mathematical formulation for a system consisting of vibrating elastic tractor structure and airfilled acoustic enclosure are given and a related numerical solution technique with finite element method (FEM) is presented.
