With the upsurge of "emotional storm" in the field of organizational behavior, the studies on individual emotions in organizational context are rising. Especially the relationship between emotions and knowledge innovation has attracted much attention by scholars. The use of the Dark Web as a COVID-19 information source : A three-country study
2022
The Dark Web (i.e., the anonymous web or Darknet) contains potentially harmful COVID-19-related information and content such as conspiracy theories and forged certificates. The Dark Web may particularly attract individuals who are suspicious about the pandemic, but there is no research concerning the use of the Dark Web as a COVID-19 information source. In this study, we investigated the role of COVID-19 skepticism, online activities, and loneliness in the use of the Dark Web platforms as a COVID-19 information source. The data (N = 3000) were gathered in April 2021 from 18 to 75-year-old respondents from Finland (n = 1000), Sweden (n = 1000) and the United Kingdom (n = 1000). The responden…

Pilvipalveluiden tietoturvallisuus
2015
Ulkopuolisen palveluntarjoajan liittyminen or- ganisaation toimintaan on tuonut kuitenkin mukanaan mahdollisuuksien lisäk- si myös haasteita. Suurimmat haasteet pilvipalveluissa liittyvät niiden tietotur- vallisuuteen. Tämän tutkielman tarkoituksena oli tutustua tarkemmin pilvipal- veluihin sekä niiden ominaispiirteisiin. Pilvipalveluja tarkasteltiin niin pal…
Problematising the restoration of trust through transparency: Focusing on quoting
2020
Transparency is seen as a panacea for a major problem facing journalism and journalists today, that is, the loss of trust and credibility. However, the scholarly literature has focused primarily on normative considerations, without providing much empirical data that could confirm what are widely assumed to be the positive effects of transparency. In this paper, I argue, first, that editorial texts, in their various manifestations, are the most potent of the various established means of displaying transparency for opening up the production of news item. However, I then draw on my linguistic, process-focused research on quoting and highlight challenges this process creates for the use of edi…
