Musteloidea (Carnivora, Mammalia) del Mioceno Superior de Venta del Moro (Valencia, España)

The purpose of the present work is to describe the Musteloidea from the Late Miocene locality of Venta del Moro (Valencia, Spain). We have identified the following species: Martes ginsburgi nov. sp., Lutra affinis Gervais, 1859, Plesiogulo monspessulanus Viret, 1939 and Promephitis alexejewi Schlosser, 1924. Besides Plesiogulo monspessulanus which was already described in this locality and in Las Casiones (MN 13, Teruel Basin), we are approaching an unedited Musteloidea assemblage from the Miocene of the Iberian Peninsula. Otter Lutra lutra predation on farmed and free‐living salmonids in boreal freshwater habitats

In this paper we aim to define whether fish farms or stocked trout streams substantially contribute to the diet of otters Lutra lutra living in freshwater habitats of Mid-Finland. Diet was assessed using spraint analysis. We especially focused on areas with fish farms and stocked trout Salmo trutta streams (salmonid-rich habitat) and used ‘normal’ (salmonid-poor) habitats as control. Frequency of salmonid remains in spraints was significantly higher in salmonid-rich habitats than elsewhere in all seasons, the difference increasing from summer to winter. „Głęboka religijność Lutra”: Marcin Luter - heretyk czy bohater wiary?

Celem artykułu jest sformułowanie odpowiedzi na pytanie: czy Lutra należy uważać za heretyka, czy też można w nim widzieć bohatera wiary? Istotną podstawą dla takiej odpowiedzi są najpierw wypowiedzi papieży ostatniego czterdziestolecia, aż po afirmację Lutra jako osobowości głęboko religijnej. Dalszych przesłanek dostarczają wyniki historycznych badań, które wskazują na głębokie zakorzenienie Lutra w ówczesnej teologii mistycznej. Uwidacznia się to w jego sposobie uprawiania teologii, gdzie głównym źródłem poznania stało się własne doświadczenie wiary.
