Sourcing on the internet: Examining the relations among different phases of online inquiry

This study examined students’ engagement in sourcing throughout online inquiry, that is, when they specified the information need, formulated search queries, evaluated online texts, and composed a written product. Participants were 167 upper secondary school students. Students completed an online inquiry task in a restricted online environment that utilized authentic online texts. Students’ prior topic knowledge and reading fluency was measured and controlled for in the analysis. The results showed that students engaged in sourcing even in the earliest phases of online inquiry. Tutkielmassani vertailen B1-ruotsin oppikirjaa Klick 7 ja B2-saksan oppikirjaa Super 8 kieliopin opetuksen näkökulmasta. Tarkoituksena on selvittää, mitä yhtäläisyyksiä ja eroja alkeisoppikirjojen rakenteiden esitystavassa ja –järjestyksessä on, sekä millaisilla tehtävillä ja miten monipuolisesti opetettuja rakenteita harjoitellaan. Laadullisen sisältöanalyysin lisäksi haastattelen kirjoja käyttänyttä opettajaa saadakseni käytännön näkökulman mukaan tutkielmaani. Föreliggande studie har ett sociokulturellt och dialogiskt perspektiv på språkinlärning. Det huvudsakliga syftet med studien är att bättre förstå den komplexa interaktionen mellan inlärare och lärare i språkklassen. Ett annat syfte utgörs av en önskan att utveckla kurserna i franska vid yrkeshögskolan Arcada. Inlärarna utgjordes av vuxna yrkeshögskolestuderande och språket som studerades var fritt valbart. I studien kartlades 108 studenters åsikter om olika ramfaktorers inverkan på lärmiljön och lärprocessen. Nykyään myös aikuisten täytyy kouluttautua ja kehittää itseään sekä vapaa-ajalla että työelämässä. Tähän tähtää myös elinikäinen oppiminen, jonka idean Unesco toi julkiseen keskusteluun 1960-luvulla. Studerandes åsikter om den obligatoriska språkpraktiken i svenska språket

Tämän tutkimuksen tarkoitus oli ottaa selvää, mitä mieltä ruotsin opiskelijat ovat kieliharjoittelusta, joka on pakollinen osa ruotsin aineopintoja. Tutkimuksessa tarkasteltiin, mitkä seikat vaikuttavat kieliharjoittelutavan valintaan, millaista hyötyä opiskelijat kokevat saaneensa kieliharjoittelusta ja kuinka positiiviseksi opiskelijat arvioivat harjoittelun kokemuksena. Lisäksi tutkittiin opiskelijoiden kielitaidon kehitystä itsearviointien avulla sekä opiskelijoiden mielipiteitä harjoittelun tavoitteiden toteutumisesta. Tutkimukseen osallistui 19 henkilöä.
