Etude des propriétés de coordination de nouveaux ligands macrocycliques vis-à-vis de cations métalliques en vue de l'utilisation de leurs complexes p…

Noninvasive medical imaging techniques such as single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) or positron emission tomography (PET), are valuable tools for the development and validation of new therapeutic molecules. That approach requires the conjugation of a radioactive source emitting either y-rays or positrons with a biological tracer (e.g. DOTATOC). Among the potentially useful radionuclides available, 111In3+ (SPECT), 64Cu2+, and 68Ga3+ (PET) have attracted increasing attention over the last years for medical applications. To minimize the in vivo release of the radioactive cation by transmetalation or transchelation with biological ligands, it is essential to trap selectively the …
Toward the development of a remote photoplethysmographic sensor
2019
Heart-rate estimation performed with remote photoplethysmography is a very active research field. Since pioneer works in 2010, which demonstrated the feasibility of the measure with low-grade consumers’ camera (webcam), the number of scientific publications have increased significantly in the domain. Hence, we observe a multiplication of the methods in order to retrieve the photoplethysmographic signal which hasled to an increased precision and quality of the heartrate estimation. Region of interest segmentation is a key step of the processing pipeline in order to maximize the quality of the measured signal. We propose a new method to perform remote photoplethysmographic measurement using a…
Design and evaluation of a creation of the demand model in order to increase voluntary medical male circumcision among adults in a South African comm…
2017
Three randomized controlled trials showed the protective role of circumcision in heterosexual HIV transmission. The World Health Organization (WHO) and the Joint United Nations Program on AIDS (UNAIDS) recommend that voluntary male medical circumcision (VMMC) programs should be rolled-out wherever there is a generalized HIV epidemic and few men are circumcised. WHO recommends a prevalence rate of at least 80% male circumcision in adults to have a substantial impact on the HIV/AIDS epidemic in Eastern and Southern Africa. Starting in 2007 in the fourteen Southern and Eastern Africa countries identified as priority countries, the programs to promote the CVME have allowed a rapid increase of t…
Développement de méthodes de référence pour les biomarqueurs du bilan lipidique : application au contrôle qualité en biologie clinique
2013
Reliable measurements in medical biology are essential for early screening and appropriate follow-up of patients. Ensuring metrological traceability of clinical measurements to higher order reference methods or certified reference materials enables to obtain comparable results over time and between different laboratories that could use different methods to quantify the same biomarker. In this study, reference methods were developed and validated for lipid profile biomarkers (total cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL-C, and LDL-C). Their value added in proficiency testing schemes was demonstrated against consensus mean. They were also used to characterize a certified reference material (CRM) that…
