Masteroppgave matematikkdidaktikk- Universitetet i Agder, 2015 The purpose of this study has been to gain some insight into how pre-service teachers experienced mathematics and the teaching of mathematics from school age up until they meet the subject in their formal education. In order to be able to do more research into this topic, I have used collected data from a complete survey. The respondents were 105 pre-service teachers, some of who have mathematics as an obligatory subject (GLU 1-7), while the rest have mathematics as a chosen subject (GLU 5-10). Det største fokuset i masteroppgaven ligger på lærebøkenes arbeidsoppgaver, og på sammenhengen mellom deres utforming og elevers forståelse. The topic for this research was inspired and initiated in connection with the international project VIDEOMAT, which I have been involved with since its planning phase. During a full day on this enterprise, they worked with tasks that were designed in connection with this study. ”Algebra på Returkraftskolen” is based on competence goals for functions and includes two student booklets, one for study preparation at school and the other for enterprise visit.
