En esta tesis doctoral se muestra la conversión directa de fibroblastos embrionarios de ratón a células con morfología y fenotipo similares al hepatocito mediante la expresión retroviral de seis factores de transcripción hepáticos, Hhex, Gata4, Foxa2, HNF4α HNF1α y HNF6. Los fibroblastos infectados mantenidos durante 3-4 semanas en cultivo adquieren una morfología epitelial y expresan genes típicamente hepáticos como Albumina, Cyp7a1, Tat o Slc10a1 a niveles próximos al hepatocito. Curcumin is a natural molecule with proved anticancer efficacy on several human cancer cell lines. However, its clinical application has been limited due to its poor bioavailability.
