Perinatal alcohol exposure affects ontogenic neurodevelopment, causing physical and functional long-term abnormalities with limited treatment options. This study investigated long-term consequences of continuous and intermittent maternal alcohol drinking on behavioral readouts of cognitive function and alcohol vulnerability in the offspring. PURPOSE: to show the relevance of peripheral nerve ultrasound imaging as a supplementary technique in a clinical neurophysiological evaluation. METHODS: peripheral nerves ultrasound (US) examination was performed in patients with a medical history of nerve entrapment and/or post-traumatic neuropathy but with clinical or neurophysiological unusual findings. A 10-18 MHz transducer was used. RESULTS: we recruited 50 patients with clinical evidence of peripheral neuropathies (25M, 25F): 24 median nerves, 1 anterior interosseous, 14 ulnar, 3 brachial plexus, 2 posterior interosseus, 1 superficial radial, 1 superficial peroneal and 4 common peroneal nerves. Działające w Opolu od siedmiu lat Studium Uzupełniające do Diakonatu Stałego przygotowało Regulamin formacji i posługi diakona stałego w diecezji opolskiej (Opole 2017). Jest on swoistym zbiorem opolskich doświadczeń związanych z formacją i posługą stałych diakonów. Powyższe przedłożenie jest formą ich opisania i usystematyzowania. Samo jednak widzenie problemu nie jest jego rozwiązaniem, dlatego podjęto też próbę pokazania, jak należy podchodzić do poszczególnych zagadnień, które Regulamin porządkuje.

This paper deals with some aspects of efficiency improvement of PMSMD (Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor Drives). Particularly two aspects are focused: the control algorithm for the PMSMD, which allows to reduce the power losses of the electric drive without penalty on its dynamic performances and the optimization of an IPMSM (Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor) rotor configuration capable to increase the performances in terms of shaft torque production, limiting at the same time the rotor leakage flux. Ophthalmic drug delivery is still a challenge due to the protective barriers of the eye. A common strategy to promote drug absorption is the use of ocular permeation enhancers, while an innovative approach is the use of polymeric micelles. In the present work, the two mentioned approaches were coupled by conjugating ocular permeation enhancers (PEG2000, carnitine, creatine, taurine) to an inulin-based co-polymer (INU-EDA-RA) in order to obtain self-assembling biopolymers with permeation enhancer properties for the hydrophobic drug dexamethasone (DEX).
