Madness is an inherent quality of female protagonists in the prose of Marguerite Duras. It manifests itself through melancholy, sadness, loneliness, misunderstanding or absence arising from abandonment. The behaviour of female characters, marked by distress or “the disease of death”, is irrational, nonsensical and difficult to understand. Their attitude defies logic and attempts to capture this specificity of writing focused on the emotive sphere, on what is inexpressible. Esta tesis doctoral consiste en una edición crítica de los Ethicorum Libri III (Valencia, 1816) escritos por el erudito valenciano Mariano Madramany y Calatayud, acompañada de una traducción al español y de notas explicativas. En la introducción se da detallada cuenta de la biografía de Madramany a partir de la consulta de la documentación de archivos, y se repasa el conjunto de su producción escrita, prestando especial atención a los contenidos, las estructuras y las fuentes de los Ethicorum. El doctorando establece las principales fuentes de los Ethicorum Libri III, a saber, santo Tomás de Aquino, el Catecismo Romano y la Theologia Moralis de Alfonso de Ligorio. Seasonal variation in diversity of marine benthic invertebrates leads to a positive species-genetic diversity correlation (SGDC)

Species-genetic diversity correlations (SGDCs) are useful indicators of processes that simultaneously affect diversity at multiple biological levels. We combined spatial and temporal sampling of 4 study sites in the Danish Isefjord-Roskilde Fjord Estuary at 4 time points over 1 yr to investigate the effect of seasonal variation on SGDCs. Species diversity was estimated as species richness from samples comprising 20752 individuals representing 51 benthic invertebrate taxa. Genetic diversity was estimated for a single focal taxon, the polychaete Pygospio elegans, as mean allelic richness at 7 microsatellite loci.
