Evolution of the Human chromosome 7: new information from the mapping of William-Breuren locus on non human primates chromosomes.

Human chromosome 7 (HSA7) derives, by a pericentric inversion and a paracentric inversion, from an ancestral chromosome homologous to chromosome 10 of Pongo pygmaeus (the Asiatic Orang-Utan). Nevertheless the genesis of this autosome during primates evolution is not clear. Even if chromosome painting shows that HAS 7 synteny is highly conserved, GTG-banding comparison in Hominoidea and Cercopithecoidea indicates the probable occurrence of complex rearrangements during the evolution. En el presente artículo se exponen algunas de las quejas que debilitaron los principios de los maestros de casas de Tarragona y de Tortosa a finales del siglo XVIII y también se mencionan las controversias que tenían los maestros de este gremio con los afiliados de otros gremios desconocidos. En ocasiones, la solidaridad que los unía se transformaba en arrogancia de cara a otros profesionales que los veían como una auténtica amenaza laboral. Los siguientes conflictos indican que los gremios de Tortosa y el de Tarragona funcionaban como el resto de los gremios de Cataluña, es decir, actuaban siguiendo el espíritu corporativo y laboral de un organigrama de funcionamiento secular. Se analizan los viajes y las conexiones artísticas establecidas por escultores, orfebres, pintores o arquitectos y se trata de determinar el posible alcance de esas relaciones y su influencia en el desarrollo artístico de la época.
The authenticity of Platonic Critias

The article discusses the thesis of Rashed and Auffret, who believe that the Critias, which has until now been considered Platonic by almost all scholars, is spurious, due to some inconsistencies that seem to emerge from a comparison between the prologues of the Critias and the 77-maeus. These contradictions do not seem decisive and can be explained through a different interpretation of the two texts. In addition to the arguments concerning the contents of the work, some linguistic and lexical observations can be added that also confirm the authenticity of the dialogue.

The 2012 campaign of the archaeological research project permitted the exhaustive excavations of the immediate surroundings of the southern nave of the abbey church of St Peter in Osor. The richness and the complexity of the discovered structures confirmed the great archaeological potential of this sector. Namely, a funeral zone that is situated south to the church is occupied by two buildings perpendicular to the church which we interpret as a mausoleum (the one on the west) and a chapel with one privileged burial (the one on the east). En este trabajo se analiza la formación científica y de didáctica de las ciencias experimentales que proponen los formadores de maestros y maestras de educación primaria, y si la metodología indagatoria está presente en dichas propuestas. AbstractDuring the eleventh and twelfth centuries the Church began a process of renovation (renovatio) and the city of Rome was given new meanings. Antiquity is part of the identity of the Eternal City; the reuse or reframing of aspects of antiquity inevitably transformed the image of Rome. Public spaces, architecture and objects were given new Christian readings. Inscriptions, present both in sacred and secular settings, played an important role. Molecular Identification of Yeasts Associated with Traditional Egyptian Dairy Products

This study aimed to examine the diversity and ecology of yeasts associated with traditional Egyptian dairy products employing molecular techniques in yeast identification. A total of 120 samples of fresh and stored Domiati cheese, kariesh cheese, and "Matared" cream were collected from local markets and examined. Forty yeast isolates were cultured from these samples and identified using the restriction-fragment length polymorphism (RFLPs) of 5.8S-ITS rDNA region and sequencing of the domains D1 and D2 of the 26S rRNA gene.
