Sumac (Rhus coriaria L.), a spice obtained by grinding whole sumac berries, is a complex natural product with a plethora of biological activities that can be favorably explored in nutraceutical and pharmaceutical fields. Sicilian sumac is herein chemically investigated by means of a combined NMR/HR MS-based profiling. A hydroalcoholic extract was prepared and its complexity unraveled following fractionation in an alcoholic and an aqueous fraction. Il saggio descrive molte delle opere d'arte del XIV e XV secolo esposte in mostra (dipinti su tavola, sculture lignee, oggetti in argento con smalti, cofanetti in avorio e legno), di fattura locale, italiana, cipriota-egea, iberica, francese e tedesca, tutte provenienti dalla Sicilia, alcune legate alla famiglia Chiaromonte. The essay describes many of the 14th and 15th century works of art on display (paintings on wood, wooden sculptures, silver objects with enamels, ivory and wooden boxes), of local, Italian, Cypriot-egean, Iberian, French and German manufacture, all from Sicily, some related to the Chiaromonte family.

Pētījuma mērķis bija noskaidrot, kādas ir saistības starp piedzīvotu vardarbību bērnībā, pornogrāfijas skatīšanos, kaitējoši seksuālu uzvedību un attieksmi pret seksuālu vardarbību pusaudžiem. Pētījumā piedalījās pusaudži: 104 meitenes un 54 zēni no 14-16 gadu vecumam no dažādām Rīgas vispārizglītojošām skolām. Pētījuma dalībnieki aizpildīja “Bērnības traumas aptauju”, “Attieksmes pret seksuāliem kontaktiem” aptauju, daļu no “Bērnu viktimizācijas aptaujas -bērnu pašnovērtējuma formas”- tā tika papildināta ar jautājumiem, kas vērsti uz savu uzvedību, kā arī atbildēja uz jautājumu par pornogrāfijas skatīšanās pieredzi.
