Nie każdy nosił w plecaku buławę… hetmańską. Kilka uwag o karierze wojskowej i politycznej Aleksandra Hilarego Połubińskiego w związku z pracą Andrze…
2020
Celem artykułu recenzyjnego jest ocena biografii i Aleksandra Hilarego Połubińskiego pióra Andrzeja A. Majewskiego. Dokonano w nim analizy następujących jej elementów: wykorzystanej bazy źródłowej i literatury, właściwości doboru bohatera, konstrukcji pracy oraz postawionych w niej tez. W przypadku tych ostatnich największe zastrzeżenia wzbudziły: sposób przedstawienia Połubińskiego jako dowódcy wojskowego; sprowadzenie na dalszy plan rozważań jego kariery politycznej; zmarginalizowanie działalności gospodarczej; sposób przedstawienia klienteli Połubińskiego. W połączeniu z przyjętą konstrukcją pracy — chronologiczną, z nadmiernie rozbudowanymi opisami działań wojennych, obniża to ocenę rec…
Evaluación del riesgo en humedales costeros mediterráneos de la presencia de contaminantes químicos orgánicos = Evaluation of the risk in Mediterrane…
2008
Successful conservative treatment of a mandibular unicystic ameloblastoma : 13-year follow-up
2018
Ameloblastoma is an uncommon, locally aggressive benign odontogenic tumor and can reach considerable dimensions causing facial deformity and functional impairment. They are characterized by local aggressiveness. It is recommended that maxillary ameloblastomas be treated aggressively due to proximity of various vital structures. Conservative treatments such as marsupialization, enucleation and curettage while preserving bone integrity seem to be associated with a high rate of recurrence. Treatment evaluation of ameloblastomas is a complex issue, as ideally it should not be so destructive due to the benign nature of this lesion, but should be extensive enough to avoid recurrences. The present…
Hybrid ameloblastoma and central giant cell lesion : challenge of early diagnosis
2020
Hybrid lesions encompass the occurrence of different entities in one lesion. A 67-year-old woman was referred to the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Service for treatment of mandibular Central Giant Cell Lesion (CGCL) previously diagnosed. Intraoral examination revealed edentulism and a painless swelling extending from the alveolar ridge to the buccal vestibule with hard consistency covered by normal mucosae, with unknown duration. Panoramic radiograph revealed a large, multilocular and well-defined radiolucent lesion extending from the region of left mandibular lateral incisor teeth to right mandibular first molar with no evidence of osseous perforation. Initially, a treatment with intrales…
Therapeutic management of the odontogenic keratocyst. An energetic approach with a conservative perspective and review of the current therapeutic opt…
2020
Background Odontogenic keratocysts (OKC) are cystic lesions appearing in the jaws, usually asymptomatic with a progressive growth into the bone. Many of them are diagnosed by a routine radiological examination. Material and methods This study reports a 12-year-old girl that presented an asymptomatic large radiolucent unilocular lesion associated to the crown of 3.8 that caused displacement of the molar and the inferior alveolar canal. Differential diagnosis included OKC, unicystic ameloblastoma, ameloblastic fibroma, dentigerous cyst and orthokeratinized odontogenic cyst. Two surgical interventions were performed; first, a marsupialization, and 10 months after, the third molar extraction pl…
Cysts and tumors of the jaws treated by marsupialization: A description of 4 clinical cases
2019
Since the 4th edition of the World Health Organization's Classification of Head and Neck Tumours was published in January of 2017, the keratocystic odontogenic tumor is back into the cyst category as odontogenic keratocyst (OKC). Depending on the size of the cyst, its location and the patients' age, several treatment options are available: curettage, enucleation, radical treatment and marsupialization. The marsupialization is a conservative technique used in early tumor stages, as curative treatment for the odontogenic cyst. Despite its disadvantages and controversies, the marsupialization remains an interesting therapeutic choice in the case of large cysts, or in very young or old patients…
Marsupialization of a large dentigerous cyst in the mandible with orthodontic extrusion of three impacted teeth. A case report
2017
The dentigerous cyst (DC) is the most common type of developmental odontogenic cyst. It is usually asymptomatic and associated with the crown of an unerupted or impacted tooth. However, after a long duration, it is likely to cause significant bone resorption, cortical expansion, and tooth displacement. This report presents a large infected DC in the mandible of a 12-year-old female patient. The DC was located inferior to badly decayed primary molars and surrounded three impacted permanent teeth: canine, first premolar, which had a dilacerated root, and second premolar. The DC was treated successfully by marsupialization and extrusion of the impacted teeth. In conclusion, the combination of …
MONASTERES ET ARISTOCRATIE EN PROVENCE -MILIEU Xe -DEBUT XIIe SIECLE
1999
Predicting Earthquake-Induced Landslides by Using a Stochastic Modeling Approach: A Case Study of the 2001 El Salvador Coseismic Landslides
2023
In January and February 2001, El Salvador was hit by two strong earthquakes that triggered thousands of landslides, causing 1259 fatalities and extensive damage. The analysis of aerial and SPOT-4 satellite images allowed us to map 6491 coseismic landslides, mainly debris slides and flows that occurred in volcanic epiclastites and pyroclastites. Four different multivariate adaptive regression splines (MARS) models were produced using different predictors and landslide inventories which contain slope failures triggered by an extreme rainfall event in 2009 and those induced by the earthquakes of 2001. In a predictive analysis, three validation scenarios were employed: the first and the second …
