Our work presented in this thesis focuses on the design, testing and implementation of monolithics CMOS image smart sensors : The principle, performance and limitations. The hardware implementation of a vision smart system is the central link. HISIC is High Speed Image Capture with processing at pixel level. An experimental platform for instrumentation and evaluation of retina operators was conducted during this thesis. After a state of the smart sensors and CMOS retinas, the second part is dedicated to the study and design of the pixel image sensor HISIC. Two circuits were realized in CMOS technology. Making IEEE 802.11 wireless access programmable

In this paper, we present a modular Layer 2 architecture which makes wireless access in {IEEE}~802.11 networks programmable and thus opens the door for broader range of enhancements. We show the power of the proposed architecture by presenting a number of innovative solutions for infrastructure, direct links and mesh cases. Early prototyping results are publicly available and can be used to develop solutions not so strictly bounded by legacy access rules, to quicker and more accurately meet evolving user demands.

Darbā analizēti ķērpji, kas ievākti pie Baltijas jūras (Ventspilī), mežā (Ventspilī, Siguldā un pie Inčukalna gudrona dīķiem), pie ceļa (Ventspils zemes ceļš un Vidzemes šoseja) un pie Olaines attīrīšanas stacijas. Veicot ķērpju sauso mineralizāciju atomabsorbciometriski tika noteikta cinka, vara un mangāna koncentrācija, jonometriski hlorīdjonu saturs, fotometriski dzelzs jonu saturs un ar liesmas fotometriju nātrija jonu saturs. Rezultāti tika statistiski apstrādāti.
Uniform rectifiability and ε-approximability of harmonic functions in Lp

Suppose that E⊂Rn+1 is a uniformly rectifiable set of codimension 1. We show that every harmonic function is ε-approximable in Lp(Ω) for every p∈(1,∞), where Ω:=Rn+1∖E. Together with results of many authors this shows that pointwise, L∞ and Lp type ε-approximability properties of harmonic functions are all equivalent and they characterize uniform rectifiability for codimension 1 Ahlfors–David regular sets. Our results and techniques are generalizations of recent works of T. Hytönen and A. Rosén and the first author, J. M. Martell and S. Mayboroda. peerReviewed
