Electromagnetic behaviour of superconductive amorphous metals

The penetration depth of the magnetic field into an amorphous superconductor is calculated. The ratio of the London penetration depth δL to the electron free path le under zero temperature is above unity for almost all amorphous metals. That is why pure metals, in a superconducting state, change from type I superconductors to type II superconductors during the crystalline–amorphous transition.

On a topological interpretation of electronic and vibrational molecular energies

Abstract A relationship between Randic's connectivity index and various quantum mechanical parameters derived from the Huckel Molecular Orbital (HMO) approach is demonstrated. When applied to conjugated hydrocarbons, this index represents the measure of the global π electron molecular energy and, therefore, of the resonance energy. Material and Method: In an animal model, modulation of the permeability of the RWM was attempted using Streptolysin-O (SLO) in various concentrations and sodium hyaluronate. Thereafter, the effect of intratympanically applied Lidocain 2% on hearing threshold measured by auditory brainstem response was tested for Lidocain 2 % and Lidocain 2 % in combination with SLO or sodium hyaluronate. Ambainis-Freivalds’ Algorithm for Measure-Once Automata

An algorithm given by Ambainis and Freivalds [1] constructs a quantum finite automaton (QFA) with O(log p) states recognizing the language Lp = {ai| i is divisible by p} with probability 1 - Ɛ , for any Ɛ > 0 and arbitrary prime p. In [4] we gave examples showing that the algorithm is applicable also to quantum automata of very limited size. In an effort to produce more environmentally friendly materials, renewable and biodegradable biopolymers have been investigated as coating materials. Edible films obtained from i-carrageenan and sodium alginates have good mechanical characteristics, are emulsion stabilizers, and decrease oxygen transfer.
