Bemisia tabaci (Hemiptera: Aleyrodidae) is responsible for severe damage to horticultural and ornamental crops worldwide, mainly for its role as virus vector. In Italy, the B. tabaci Mediterranean (MED) and Middle East–Asia Minor 1 (MEAM1) cryptic species are widespread in the Southern regions as well as in Sicily and Sardinia. Influence of the addition of different origin sources of protein on meat products sensory acceptance

The effect of the addition of different protein sources on the sensory properties of meat products was evaluated. Pork liver pâte, turkey patties, cooked turkey breast, fresh pork sausages, and marinated turkey breast were elaborated with soybean (control), and other protein sources, such as aspea, lentil, bean, Chlorella, Spirulina, and dairy protein. Physicochemical parameters (pH, color, and hardness), taste profile, acceptance, and preference were assessed. The incorporation of different protein sources in meat products modified the sensorial characteristics, which differentially influenced the acceptance of panelists, generating panelist groups with different preference profiles. Cellulose ether emulsions as fat source in cocoa creams: Thermorheological properties (flow and viscoelasticity)

Flow behaviour and viscoelastic properties at three different temperatures (20, 45 and 70 °C) of cocoa filling creams have been studied. These creams were composed of cocoa, starch, sugar, skimmed milk powder and non-digestible cellulose ether emulsions as fat source. Two types of methylcelluloses, MC, and two types of hydroxypropyl methylcelluloses, HPMC, with different chemical substitution degrees were employed. International audience; In order to highlight our understanding on ecosystems functioning and resource sharing/competition, either in artificial environment or agrosystems, according to changes in the climatic conditions, it is necessary to measure accurately element fluxes within plants. Stable isotopes allow tracking safely and accurately on a short time frame the behavior of elements in plants. After a short review devoted to isotopic studies of elemental flux within plants, we explain how a direct multiple labelling study might be conducted in a plant, so as to measure over short time nitrogen and sulfur acquisition, and assimilates arising from a labelled source.
