Individuell kompetanse: evaluering av individuell kompetanse hos Aker Kværner Offshore Partner
2006
Customer relationship marketing
2006
Masteroppgave i økonomi og administrasjon 2006, Høgskolen i Agder, Kristiansand Customer relationship marketing has become an interesting choice of strategy for companies in today’s competitive markets. Different positioning strategies like price and product quality are easy to imitate, eluding the importance of sustainable competitive advantage. The customers need to be attracted and bonded towards the store through relationships. The paper discusses several factors affecting relationship marketing and the advantages with this strategy. Through the theory part the reader will gain a strong impression of what relationship marketing is all about, and the different factors affecting this phen…

In the current study, we delivered the Healthy Body Image (HBI) intervention among Norwegian high school students and examined the effects on healthy lifestyle habits. Methods The HBI intervention…

Managing data and information quality in construction engineering : a system design approach
2014
Doctoral dissertation, Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences, University of Agder 2014 Following the ADR method made it possible not only to develop a tool, but also to formulate design principles and abstract the findings to a generalizable level. This study contributes to knowledge and practice in several ways. First, I offer five design principles for DQ/IQ assessment tools. These design principles are specifically aimed at mitigating the unavoidable challenges and their consequences in construction engineering projects. By accepting these unavoidable challenges and consequences and subsequently providing means for managing the results in a controlled manner, these principles makes it…
Digital collaboration in the wood-based construction industry: deployment of Building Information Modeling
2014
Doctoral dissertation, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Agder, Kristiansand 2014 Building Information Modeling (BIM) is intended to promote efficiency in building design and serves as a design space where multiple actors engage in collaborative work. BIM is both a new technology and a new way of working, providing a common environment for all information defining a building, facility, or asset, together with its common parts and activities (Pittard, 2013). This thesis explores the deployment of BIM technology in the Norwegian wood-based building industry and contributes to understanding how BIM can be applied to improve collaborative work in this sector. The dissertation is interdi…
Digital Twin of HVAC system (HVACDT) for multiobjective optimization of energy consumption and thermal comfort based on BIM framework with ANN-MOGA
2022
This study proposes a novel Digital Twin framework of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVACDT) system to reduce energy consumption while increasing thermal comfort. The framework is developed to help the facility managers better understand the building operation to enhance the HVAC system function. The Digital Twin framework is based on Building Information Modelling (BIM) combined with a newly created plug-in to receive real-time sensor data as well as thermal comfort and optimization process through Matlab programming. In order to determine if the suggested framework is practical, data were collected from a Norwegian office building between August 2019 and October 2021 and used…
Enabling a just energy transition through solidarity in research
2023
A just energy transition is as much about acknowledging and acting on the socio-material needs of marginalised classes and groups as about informing inclusive and deliberative policy-making towards more equitable energy futures. In democracies, energy social scientists hold a privileged position and special responsibility to do both, thus offering critical support to decision-makers and practitioners. We articulate the challenges and opportunities for energy social scientists to embody solidarity in their research orientation and practices. First, we articulate the need to repoliticise, redemocratise, and negotiate a multiplicity of energy transitions. This includes recognising and engaging…
