Restos de caminos antiguos en el término municipal de Viver (Alto Palancia, Castellón)

In this article we present the finding of three ruts areas in the municipality of Viver, in the Alto Palancia region (Castellón). His study provides new archaeological evidences of the works of conditioning of the roads that have ascended the Palancia Valley in different historical periods.

Análisis e interpretación de los términos literales por parte de los alumnos de la Educación Secundaria

El objetivo de este estudio es describir y analizar las interpretaciones de los términos literales algebraicos que realiza una muestra de 27 alumnos y alumnas entre 15 y 16 años de un instituto de la ciudad de Valencia. Se les administró un test basado en investigaciones del Dr. Küchemann entre finales de los años 70 y principios de los años 80. Se realizó un análisis detallado de las dificultades y errores que presentaron así como de alguno de los ítems que se utilizaron para identificar dichas interpretaciones. Search for weakly decaying b -flavored pentaquarks

Investigations of the existence of pentaquark states containing a single $b$ (anti)quark decaying weakly into four specific final states J/$\psi K^+\pi^- p$, J/$\psi K^- \pi^- p$, J/$\psi K^- \pi^+ p$, and $J/\psi \phi (1020) p$ are reported. The data sample corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 3.0/fb in 7 and 8 TeV pp collisions acquired with the LHCb detector. Signals are not observed and upper limits are set on the product of the production cross section times branching fraction with respect to that of the $\Lambda_b$.

Low-generation dendrimers with a calixarene core and based on a chiral C2-symmetric pyrrolidine as iminosugar mimics

The preparation of low-generation dendrimers based on a simple calix[4]arene scaffold by insertion of the iminosugar-analogue C2-symmetric 3,4-dihydroxypyrrolidine is described. This methodology allows a rapid incorporation of a considerable number of iminosugar-like moieties in a reduced volume and in a well-defined geometry. The inclusion of alkali-metal ions (sodium and potassium) in the polar cavity defined by the acetamide moieties at the lower rim of the calixarene was demonstrated, which allows also the rigidification of the dendrimer structure and the iminosugar presentation in the clusters. Influence of Sodium on the Structure and HDS Activity of Co–Mo Catalysts Supported ON Silica and Aluminosilicate

Abstract Structural changes and catalytic performances of hydrodesulfurization (HDS) Co–Mo catalysts, supported on amorphous aluminosilicate (ASA) and amorphous SiO 2 were investigated as a function of the amount of sodium ions added to the supports. The catalysts were prepared according to the incipient wet impregnation method using (NH 4 ) 6 Mo 7 O 24 as molybdenum precursor and CoCl 2 or Co(NO 3 ) 2 as cobalt precursor. Single particle jumps and correlated ionic motions in glass-ceramics

Using impedance spectroscopy, the ion transport in poorly Li-conducting aluminosilicate glass ceramics and their precursor glasses has been measured for temperatures 50 K < T < 550 K and covering a frequency range of more than 14 decades from 10 mHz up to 3 THz. In addition to the familiar cooperative ionic motion dominating at high temperatures, for the first time dielectric relaxation due to elementary hopping processes is observed well below room temperature.

Halloysite nanotubes as polyolefin fillers

Artykuł stanowi przegląd najnowszej literatury dotyczącej nanokompozytów poliolefinowych napełnianych nanorurkami haloizytowymi (HNT). Omówiono wpływ dodatku HNT na osnowę poliolefinową, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem morfologii oraz właściwości mechanicznych nanokompozytów poliolefina/HNT. Modyfikowane HNT wykazywały wysoki stopień rozproszenia w osnowie poliolefinowej, dzięki czemu powodowały poprawę właściwości mechanicznych poliolefinowych nanokompozytów napełnianych nanorurkami haloizytowymi. :  The dark grey Breccia di Billiemi and the Ammonitico Rosso of Piana degli Albanesi, two coloured stones widely used in monuments both outdoor and indoor in Sicily, undergo significant decay as effect of weathering: colour change and development of surface microcracks which affect not only the chromatic aspect but also the state of aggregation.
