ViSPE: A Graphical Policy Editor for XACML

In this paper we present the Visual Security Policy Editor (ViSPE), a policy-maker-friendly graphical editor for the eXtensible Access Control Markup Language (XACML). The editor is based on the programming language Scratch and implemented in Smalltalk. It uses a graphical block-based syntax for declaring access control polices that simplifies many of the cumbersome and verbose parts of XACML. Using a graphical language allows the editor to aid the policy-maker in building polices by providing visual feedback and by grouping blocks and operators that fit together and also indicating which blocks that stick together. A fuel cell-based hybrid power supply for portable electronics devices

A fuel cell - supercapacitor hybrid power supply for portable applications is designed. To ensure system level simulation, each component is accurately modeled and simulation results are reported. A Digital Still Camera is selected as specific load device, although the choice of a specific application does not influence the proposed control technique performances but only dictates the power supply specifications. Training label cleaning with ant colony optimization for classification of remote sensing imagery

This paper presents an original approach for improving performances of the supervised classifiers in remote sensing imagery by proposing a technique to refine a given training set using Ant Colony Optimization (ACO). The new method called ACO-Training Label Cleaning (ACO-TLC) applies ACO model for selection of the significant training samples from a given set of labeled vectors in order to optimize the quality of a supervised classifier. This means to retain the most informative samples and to remove the uncertain or misclassified training samples, which lead to classification errors. Questions of gender, ethnicity and sexuality have all been raised by novelists intent on rewriting Shakespeare from the position of what have been seen as cultural margins. While discussions of such rewritings are ongoing, few concerted efforts have been made to trace a pattern in the treatment of Shakespearean allusion and adaptation at the hands of British and American writers of the literary mainstream. The present essay sets out to investigate the way in which three such writers —Ian McEwan, Graham Swift, and John Updike— employ allusion to/adaptations of Hamlet in their novels and what their respective stances reveal about their understanding of their role as canonical writers.
