Tämän tutkielman tavoitteena on kartoittaa opettajien kokemuksia syksyllä 2013 yhteenmuuttaneiden suomen- ja ruotsinkielisten lukioiden yhteiselosta. Tarkoituksena on selvittää miten opettajat suhtautuvat koulujen yhteenmuuttoon sekä mitä mahdollisuuksia ja haasteita he näkevät siinä, että lukiot toimivat samoissa tiloissa. Lisäksi selvitetään ilmeneekö koulujen välillä jonkinasteista yhteistyötä, ja miltä oppilaskieliryhmien välinen kanssakäyminen vaikuttaa opettajien näkökulmasta. International audience; Despite several attempts, automated detection of microaneurysm (MA) from digital fundus images still remains to be an open issue. This is due to the subtle nature of MAs against the surrounding tissues. In this paper, the microaneurysm detection problem is modeled as finding interest regions or blobs from an image and an automatic local-scale selection technique is presented. Several scale-adapted region descriptors are then introduced to characterize these blob regions. Maģistra darba mērķis bija izpētīt dzimumlomu, piesaistes stila un uz rūpēm balstītās morāles saistības. Tika izvirzīti sekojoši jautājumi: kādas sakarības pastāv starp dzimumlomu, uz rūpēm balstīto morālo spriešanu un piesaistes stilu sievietēm un kā dzimumloma un piesaistes stils prognozē uz rūpēm balstīto morālo spriešanu? Pētījumā piedalījās 31 sieviete. Izmantotās metodikas: Attiecību aptauja (Relationship Questionaire, Bartholomew & Horowitz, 1991); Bēmas dzimumlomu aptauja (Bem Sex Role Inventory, Bem, 1974); Rūpju ētikas intervija (The ethics of care interview, Skoe, 1993). Testing and implementing a new approach to estimating interregional output multipliers using input-output data for South Korean regions

Flegg's location quotient (FLQ) is a useful tool for estimating intraregional output multipliers. This paper uses it as one component when estimating interregional multipliers. Using statistical information criteria and official data for 16 South Korean regions, it is found that the best approach is to combine the FLQ with a simple trade model. The paper explains how the proposed procedure can be implemented for both multiple and individual regions, and also how a region-specific value for the unknown parameter δ in the FLQ formula can be determined. Finally, an illustrative case study of one of the regions is carried out.
Theory of mind development from adolescence to adulthood: Testing the two-component model

The ability to infer mental and affective states of others is crucial for social functioning. This ability, denoted as Theory of Mind (ToM), develops rapidly during childhood, yet results on its development across adolescence and into young adulthood are rare. In the present study, we tested the two‐component model, measuring age‐related changes in social‐perceptual and social‐cognitive ToM in a sample of 267 participants between 11 and 25 years of age. Darba mērķis bija noskaidrot vai dzimumlomu konflikts negatīvi saistīts ar uztverto sociālo atbalstu un vai vīriešu grupu dalībniekiem ir zemāks dzimumlomu konflikts, plašāks sociālā atbalsta tīkls un viņi ir apmierinātāki ar sociālo atbalstu savā dzīvē kā vīrieši, kas nav vīriešu grupā. Tika ievākti dati no 136 respondentiem, 39 bija aktīvi vīriešu grupas dalībnieki. Tika veikta pirmreizējā adaptācija Dzimumlomu konflikta skalas īsai formai un 3 jautājumiem no Sociālā atbalsta aptaujas. Apstiprinājās vāja, bet statistiski nozīmīga negatīva saistība starp sociālo atbalstu (atbalsta tīkla plašumu un apmierinātību ar uztverto sociālo atbalstu) un dzimumlomu konfliktu. This includes Macbeth refusing to shake hands with his opponent before the battle, his words to Banquo's ghost quoted in the title above, Banquo's own puzzlement at the weird sisters' placing a finger over their lips, the doctor's suspicions at Lady Macbeth's rubbing her hands and sleepwalking, as well as Malcom's request that Macduff not pull his hat over his eyes. We discuss the semi-nonparametric approach of Gallant and Nychka (1987, Econometrica 55: 363–390), the semiparametric maximum likelihood approach of Klein and Spady (1993, Econometrica 61: 387–421), and a set of new Stata commands for semiparametric estimation of three binary-choice models. The first is a univariate model, while the second and the third are bivariate models without and with sample selection, respectively. The proposed estimators are root-n consistent and asymptotically normal for the model parameters of interest under weak assumptions on the distribution of the underlying error terms. A typical scenario when solving industrial single or multiobjective optimization problems is that no explicit formulation of the problem is available. Instead, a dataset containing vectors of decision variables together with their objective function value(s) is given and a surrogate model (or metamodel) is build from the data and used for optimization and decision-making.
