Negli Archivi di Franz Cumont (1868-1947), presso l'Academia Belgica a Roma, è stato recentemente ritrovato un manoscritto, originariamente inventariato come una bozza dell'introduzione alla sua opera Les mystères de Mithra (1901). Un'analisi più accurata del documento ha mostrato, però, il carattere inedito del saggio che risulta, per di più corredato da una ventina di commenti in una grafia diversa rispetto a quella di Franz Cumont. Il confronto di questa scrittura con quella dei corrispondenti di Cumont ha indotto a ritenere che questo acuto lettore era, probabilmente, lo studioso tedesco Theodor Mommsen (1817-1903). Sport is an emotional experience. Studies have shown that high emotional intelligence (EI) is associated with better sports performance, though different aspects of sports experience and their relationship with EI are still unclear. This study examined the possible relationships between sports experience and EI dimensions of undergraduate athletes. Likewise, according to the differences described in the literature between men and women, the secondary aim was to identify the possible relationship between EI and sports experience in both subgroups. A close examination of the intersection of printed and unpublished sources allows, in a comprehensive manner, to reconstruct the history of the project of the Vocabularium iurisprudentiae Romanae. Within this unitary framework the idea that interpolationism was based on a lexical motive, and not on a juridical one, is discussed. Eine eingehende Überprüfung von gedruckten und ungedruckten Quellen ermöglicht es, die Projektgeschichte des Vocabularium iurisprudentiae Romanae vollständig zu rekonstruieren. In diesem Rahmen wird die Vorstellung erörtert, nach der hinter der zeitgenössischen Interpolationenkritik ein wesentlich lexikalischer, nicht aber juristischer, Beweggrund zu erblicken sei.

Purcell Enhancement and Wavelength Shift of Emitted Light by CsPbI3 Perovskite Nanocrystals Coupled to Hyperbolic Metamaterials

Manipulation of the exciton emission rate in nanocrystals of lead halide perovskites (LHPs) was demonstrated by means of coupling of excitons with a hyperbolic metamaterial (HMM) consisting of alternating thin metal (Ag) and dielectric (LiF) layers. Such a coupling is found to induce an increase of the exciton radiative recombination rate by more than a factor of three due to the Purcell effect when the distance between the quantum emitter and HMM is nominally as small as 10 nm, which coincides well with the results of our theoretical analysis.
