Cercospora leaf spot of sugar beet (Cercospora beticola Sacc.) Part I. Biology and occurrence
2019
Całość zagadnienia omówiono w oparciu o polską i światową szeroką bazę literaturową.
Electrosynthesis of Ce–Co Mixed Oxide Nanotubes with High Aspect Ratio and Tunable Composition
2008
Cerium oxide and cobalt oxides have attracted the interest of several researchers due to their potential application in several technological fields electrochromism, lithium batteries, catalysis, etc.. Ceria has been used as a promoter in the so-called “three-way catalyst” for the control of toxic emission from automobile exhaust. The promotion consists of the enhancement of the noble metal dispersion, as well as stabilization of the supporting medium toward thermal sintering. 1,2 A direct catalytic effect of CeO2 in chemical processes such as water–gas shift reaction or NOx decomposition has been also evidenced. 3,4
Character/State
2020
The conceptual couple CHARACTER/STATE is an ideal candidate to demonstrate the virtues of a morphological way of proceeding that allows historically distinct disciplinary horizons to dialogue in order to achieve a new disciplinary synthesis (Love 2003) and first of all in order to reach a new morphological lexicon, aware of the traditions of reference and of the mutual advantage arising from the dialogue itself.
Microstructure of Triassic conodont Pseudofurnishius murcianus van den Boogaard: Functional implications
2020
Pseudofurnishius murcianus van den Boogaard is a Triassic conodont with a very characteristic morphology, a blade with a rostral platform heavily denticulated, that makes it easily distinguishable from other coeval species. It is a well-know taxon that has been the object of several palaeobiological works, focused on their apparatus reconstruction, ontogeny and, recently, their P 1 element function. In order to increase our palaeobiology knowledge of this taxon we undertook a histological analysis to corroborate the functional hypothesis established for this conodont. The histological study demonstrated the presence of different microstructural types, suggesting that they are functional ada…
Vascular Patterns in Dermoscopy
2012
Under the right conditions, dermoscopy allows us to observe the vascular features of many different types of skin lesions. The visualization and identification of vessels with a characteristic morphology can be the key to diagnosis, especially in hypopigmented lesions in which the typical pigmented structures are not visible. Some of the more characteristic associations are the presence of crown vessels in sebaceous hyperplasia, arborizing telangiectasias in basal cell carcinoma, comma-shaped vessels in intra- dermal and compound nevi, dotted vessels in Spitz nevi and melanoma, and hairpin vessels in seborrheic keratoses. The recognition of distinctive vascular features can be of great help…
First Record ofAlloxystaFörster from Madagascar, with Descriptions of Two New Species (Hymenoptera: Cynipoidea: Figitidae: Charipinae)
2012
The genus Alloxysta is recorded for the first time from Madagascar, with the description of two new species: Alloxysta antananarivoi Ferrer-Suay & Pujade-Villar sp. n. and Alloxysta antsirananae Ferrer-Suay & Pujade-Villar sp. n. Their morphological features and diagnostic characters are discussed and illustrated. This is the second genus of the subfamily Charipinae recorded from Madagascar.

Superparamagnetic iron oxide/oleic acid nanoparticles with immobilized organosilicon derivatives ofN-(2-hydroxyethyl)tetrahydroisoquinoline: synthesi…
2013
Superparamagnetic iron oxide/oleic acid nanoparticles bearing lipid-like organosilicon N-(2-hydroxyethyl)-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroisoquinoline derivatives have been synthesized with the aim of their potential biomedical application. X-ray diffraction analysis, Dynamic light-scattering measurements, method of magnetogranulometry and some others have been employed to investigate the morphology and properties of the nanoparticles synthesized. The magnetic core diameter of mixed covered nanoparticles ranged between 4.8 and 9.6 nm. The magnetization analyses showed that the particles are superparamagnetic at room temperature. In vitro cell cytotoxicity and intracellular NO generation caused by the wat…
