Vescovo e cattedrale a Cirene nel VI secolo: a proposito della basilica orientale
2013
Si presenta la fase bizantina della basilica insistendo sul valore docetico dei mosaici e sul ruolo del vescovo committente.
THE INFLUENCE OF CHROMATIC ABERRATION ON DEMOSAICKING
2014
International audience; The wide deployment of colour imaging devices owes much to the use of colour filter array (CFA). A CFA produces a mosaic image, and normally a subsequent CFA demosaick-ing algorithm interpolates the mosaic image and estimates the full-resolution colour image. Among various types of optical aberrations from which a mosaic image may suffer, chromatic aberration (CA) influences the spatial and spectral correlation through the artefacts such as blur and mis-registration, which demosaicking also relies on. In this paper we propose a simulation framework aimed at an investigation of the influence of CA on demosaicking. Results show that CA benefits de-mosaicking to some ex…
Use of wavelet for image processing in smart cameras with low hardware resources
2013
International audience; Images from embedded sensors need digital processing to recover high-quality images and to extract features of a scene. Depending on the properties of the sensor and on the application, the designer fits together different algorithms to process images. In the context of embedded devices, the hardware supporting those applications is very constrained in terms of power consumption and silicon area. Thus, the algorithms have to be compliant with the embedded specifications i.e. reduced computational complexity and low memory requirements. We investigate the opportunity to use the wavelet representation to perform good quality image processing algorithms at a lower compu…
Extension of luminance component based demosaicking algorithm to 4- and 5-band multispectral images
2021
Abstract Multispectral imaging systems are currently expanding with a variety of multispectral demosaicking algorithms. But these algorithms have limitations due to the remarkable presence of artifacts in the reconstructed image. In this paper, we propose a powerful multispectral image demosaicking method that focuses on the G band and luminance component. We've first identified a relevant 4-and 5-band multispectral filter array (MSFA) with the dominant G band and then proposed an algorithm that consistently estimates the missing G values and other missing components using a convolution operator and a weighted bilinear interpolation algorithm based on the luminance component. Using the cons…
Restauro di una Chiesa Bizantina a En-Nitl in Giordana.
2009
A wavelet-based demosaicking algorithm for embedded applications
2010
This paper presents an alternative to the spatial reconstruction of the sampled color filter array acquired through a digital image sensor. A demosaicking operation has to be applied to the raw image to recover the full-resolution color image. We present a low-complexity demosaicking algorithm processing in the wavelet domain. Produced images are available at the output of the algorithm either in the spatial representation or directly in the wavelet domain for high-level post processing in the latter domain. Results show that the computational complexity has been lowered by a factor of five compared to state of the art demosaicking algorithms.
Discrete wavelet transform based multispectral filter array demosaicking
2013
International audience; The idea of colour filter array may be adapted to multi-spectral image acquisition by integrating more filter types into the array, and developing associated demosaicking algorithms. Several methods employing discrete wavelet transform (DWT) have been proposed for CFA demosaicking. In this work, we put forward an extended use of DWT for mul-tispectral filter array demosaicking. The extension seemed straightforward, however we observed striking results. This work contributes to better understanding of the issue by demonstrating that spectral correlation and spatial resolution of the images exerts a crucial influence on the performance of DWT based demosaicking.
[Y chromosome in Turner syndrome].
2017
Turner syndrome (TS) is an inherited genetic disorder caused by numerical and/or structural chromosome X aberrations occurring at a frequency of 1:1200-1:2500 live-born girls. The most common karyotype is X chromosome monosomy (45,X) (approximately 50-60% of cases). Approximately 5-6% of patients may have abnormal Y chromosome or mosaicism characterized by the coexistence of 45,X cell line with cell line in which all or part of chromosome Y is present. In patients with TS who have all or fragmented genetic material from chromosome Y there is a substantial risk of cancerous lesions in these dysgenetic gonads. This paper stands for the review of the current knowledge on the genetic material o…
Estimating the Best Reference Homography for Planar Mosaics From Videos
2015
This paper proposes a novel strategy to find the best reference homography in mosaics from video sequences. The reference homography globally minimizes the distortions induced on each image frame by the mosaic homography itself. This method is designed for planar mosaics on which a bad choice of the first reference image frame can lead to severe distortions after concatenating several successive homographies. This often happens in the case of underwater mosaics with non-flat seabed and no georeferential information available. Given a video sequence of an almost planar surface, sub-mosaics with low distortions of temporally close image frames are computed and successively merged according to…
Dissecting and Reassembling Color Correction Algorithms for Image Stitching
2018
This paper introduces a new compositional framework for classifying color correction methods according to their two main computational units. The framework was used to dissect fifteen among the best color correction algorithms and the computational units so derived, with the addition of four new units specifically designed for this work, were then reassembled in a combinatorial way to originate about one hundred distinct color correction methods, most of which never considered before. The above color correction methods were tested on three different existing datasets, including both real and artificial color transformations, plus a novel dataset of real image pairs categorized according to …
