A novel evaluation model for hybrid power system based on vague set and Dempster-Shafer evidence theory
2012
Published version of an article from the journal: Mathematical Problems in Engineering. Also available from the publisher:http://dx.doi.org/10.1155/2012/784389 Because clean energy and traditional energy have different advantages and disadvantages, it is of great significance to evaluate comprehensive benefits for hybrid power systems. Based on thorough analysis of important characters on hybrid power systems, an index system including security, economic benefit, environmental benefit, and social benefit is established in this paper. Due to advantages of processing abundant uncertain and fuzzy information, vague set is used to determine the decision matrix. Convert vague decision matrix to …
VEMPs: applicazioni cliniche ed esperienza personale.
2008
Aim. Among the various techniques to examine the functioning of the vestibular apparatus, the vestibular evoked myogenic potentials (VEMPs) represent a universally accepted methodical and offers significant clinical applications. Methods. The authors studied 93 patients (55 females, 38 males) from 22-83 years (medium age 52.5 years) with cocleovestibular sphere disturbances: deafness, tinnitus and vertigos. All the subjects underwent I and II level audiological examinations: history, clinical observation, tonal liminar audiometry, impedencemetry, acufenometry, clinical and instrumental vestibular exams, acoustics evoked potentials (ABR) and VEMPs. The subject were divided into groups accord…
Résistance du vulpin aux herbicides. Son importance et sa répartition en Côte d'Or
2006
BlACKGRASS lN WHEAT: A MAP OF HERBICIDE RESISTANCE Since the years 1990, the spread of herbicide resistance in wheatis more and more important within weed species as blackgrass (Alopecurus myosuroidesHuds,). Resistanceto the fenoxaprop-P-ethyl within blackgrass population wasfirst was detected in the Côte d'Or departement. ln this context, a map of the herbicide resistance of blackgrass was undertaken at the scale of this departement. 149 fields were used for this study with for each an agronomic investigation and harvests of blackgrass seeds. Almost the whole of the populations of blackgrass tested present at least 50% of plants resistant to fenoxaprop-P-ethyl, and 53% and 9% of these popu…
Vanadium perturbs the fertilization outcome and the metalloproteinase activity in sea urchin embryos
2021
Metal toxicology represents a current major topic due to the disper- sion of these elements in the environment. Metals are released from both natural sources and industrial activities. Some of them have also a clinical interest due to their application as metallodrugs (i.e., Pt, Cu, Au, Ru, and Y) or in medical diagnosis (Gd).1,2 Recently, V derivatives are considered as potential therapeutic factors in some diseases (e.g., obesity, diabetes, cancer, neurodegenerative and heart disorders). As a consequence, pharmaceutical residues could repre- sent emerging pollutants of aquatic environments, as wastewater treatment plants do not sufficiently remove these compounds3. Embryonic models repres…
A combined measles, mumps, rubella and varicella vaccine (Priorix-Tetra: immunogenicity and safety profile
2009
Abstract Priorix-Tetra ™ (GlaxoSmithKline Biologicals) is a combined measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (MMRV) vaccine. Eight studies involving more than 3000 children were reviewed. Compared with co-administration of MMR ( Priorix ™) and varicella ( Varilrix ™) vaccines, the MMRV vaccine showed: similar immunogenicity, with immunity shown up to 3 years post-vaccination; a higher rate of fever after the first dose; a slight increase in mild local reactions after the second dose. This MMRV vaccine can be used either as a two-dose vaccine or as a second dose in children primed with separate MMR and/or varicella vaccines, offering a convenient way to introduce varicella vaccination into rou…
MMR and MMRV vaccines.
2018
Measles, mumps, rubella and varicella are viral infections which can implicate seriously long-term sequelae of infected individuals or even the unborn child. Vaccines against the individual diseases have long been available. Global measles vaccination is estimated to have prevented more than 20million deaths during 2000-2015. During the same time period, measles incidence decreased from 146 to 36 cases per million populations. Today vaccinations against measles, mumps, rubella and varicella are now carried out mainly with combination vaccines. These are today known as immunogenic and safe. MMRV had similar immunogenicity and overall safety profiles to MMR administered with or without varice…
CIPRNG: A VLSI Family of Chaotic Iterations Post-Processings for $\mathbb {F}_{2}$ -Linear Pseudorandom Number Generation Based on Zynq MPSoC
2018
Hardware pseudorandom number generators are continuously improved to satisfy both physical and ubiquitous computing security system challenges. The main contribution of this paper is to propose two post-processing modules in hardware, to improve the randomness of linear PRNGs while succeeding in passing the TestU01 statistical battery of tests. They are based on chaotic iterations and are denoted by CIPRNG-MC and CIPRNG-XOR. They have various interesting properties, encompassing the ability to improve the statistical profile of the generators on which they iterate. Such post-processing have been implemented on FPGA and ASIC without inferring any blocs (RAM or DSP). A comparison in terms of …
Machinery Failure Approach and Spectral Analysis to Study the Reaction Time Dynamics over Consecutive Visual Stimuli: An Entropy-Based Model.
2020
[EN] The reaction times of individuals over consecutive visual stimuli have been studied using an entropy-based model and a failure machinery approach. The used tools include the fast Fourier transform and a spectral entropy analysis. The results indicate that the reaction times produced by the independently responding individuals to visual stimuli appear to be correlated. The spectral analysis and the entropy of the spectrum yield that there are features of similarity in the response times of each participant and among them. Furthermore, the analysis of the mistakes made by the participants during the reaction time experiments concluded that they follow a behavior which is consistent with …
Constraining the spin-dependent WIMP-nucleon cross sections with XENON1T
2019
We report the first experimental results on spin-dependent elastic weakly interacting massive particle (WIMP) nucleon scattering from the XENON1T dark matter search experiment. The analysis uses the full ton year exposure of XENON1T to constrain the spin-dependent proton-only and neutron-only cases. No significant signal excess is observed, and a profile likelihood ratio analysis is used to set exclusion limits on the WIMP-nucleon interactions. This includes the most stringent constraint to date on the WIMP-neutron cross section, with a minimum of 6.3 × 10−42 cm2 at 30 GeV/c2 and 90% confidence level. The results are compared with those from collider searches and used to exclude new paramet…
