After sketching recent advances and subtleties in classical relativistically covariant field theories, we give in this short Note some indications as to how the deformation quantization approach can be used to solve or at least give a better understanding of their quantization.

The strange case of Paul Appell's last memoir on Monge's problem: "sur les déblais et remblais"

International audience; We analyze a case of plagiarism that appears in a work published in 1928 by Paul Appell (1855–1930) in the collection Mémorial des sciences mathématiques. Appell's memoir entitled Le problème géométrique des déblais et remblais contains a verbatim copy of several pages from a memoir published in 1886 by Albert de Saint-Germain (1839–1914). By tracing back Appell's last years, we have found historical evidences that might cast a shadow of doubt on Appell's full responsibility by the plagiarism that appeared under his name.

International audience; Tullio Levi-Civita was one of the most important Italian mathematicians in the early part of the 20th century, contributing significantly to a number of research fields in mathematics and physics. In addition, he was involved in the social and political life of his time and suffered severe political and racial persecution during the period of Fascism. He tried repeatedly and in several cases successfully to help colleagues and students who were victims of anti-Semitism in Italy and Germany. Mesenchymal stromal/stem cell (MSC) therapies are increasingly explored as novel regenerative and immunomodulatory approaches to treat or prevent diseases (Pittenger et al., 2019; Hmadcha et al., 2020; Moll et al., 2020b; Ringdén et al., 2022). These cells exhibit potent paracrine properties that can modulate host immune responses, lower inflammation, and orchestrate endogenous tissue repair, at both the local and the systemic level through multiple pathways (Singer and Caplan, 2011; Doorn et al., 2012). Dinotrema cavernicola sp. n. (Hymenoptera, Braconidae, Alysiinae), a new species of the genus Dinotrema Foerster from caves of Spain

Dinotrema cavernicola sp. n. was collected in two caves in Spain. This is the first Dinotrema species known to occur in caves. This new species is described and compared to D. affine (Fischer, 1973) and D. collybiae Munk & Peris-Felipo, 2014, species sharing a mid-longitudinal carina on the propodeum.

Rationally integrable vector fields and rational additive group actions

International audience; We characterize rational actions of the additive group on algebraic varieties defined over a field of characteristic zero in terms of a suitable integrability property of their associated velocity vector fields. This extends the classical correspondence between regular actions of the additive group on affine algebraic varieties and the so-called locally nilpotent derivations of their coordinate rings. Our results lead in particular to a complete characterization of regular additive group actions on semi-affine varieties in terms of their associated vector fields. Lenses on very curved zones of a singular foliation of C2

Abstract We renormalize, using suitable lenses, small domains of a singular holomorphic foliation of C 2 where the curvature is concentrated. At a proper scale, the leaves are almost translates of a graph that we will call profile. When the leaves of the foliations are levels f = λ , where f is a polynomial in 2 variables, this graph is polynomial. Finally we will indicate how our methods may be adapted to study levels of polynomials and 1-forms in C 3 .
