Suomessa sosiaali-, terveys- ja kuntoutusalan opinnot toteutuvat pääasiassa ammattikorkeakouluissa ja koulutus on laajaa. Ammattikorkeakoulu-uudistuksen yhteydessä kuntoutusalojen osaamisen ja niiden vahvistaminen tulevaisuudessa todettiin tärkeäksi. Die Bedeutung anderer Fremdsprachen als Englisch ist in Finnland in den letzten Jahrzenten kontinuierlich gesunken. Als besonders drastisch ist der Rückgang von Deutschlernern an finnischen Schulen einzuschätzen. Die vorliegende Studie ist Teil des Projekts Deutsch als Verkehrssprache in Finnland, das auf die Untersuchung der Rolle des Deutschen in akademischen und wirtschaftlichen Kontexten in Finnland abzielt. Abstract This descriptive study sought to understand the complexities of integrative processing during collaborative online reading. Student pairs constructed a collaborative understanding while reading online information about a controversial issue by connecting, combining and organizing information that originated from prior knowledge, self-selected online texts, and discussions during an online inquiry task.
