After cyclone Aila : politics of climate change in Sundarbans

This article compares the politics of climate change in the Sundarbans region in Bangladesh and India based on ethnographic fieldwork in four villages and among migrants from these villages in Kolkata and Khulna city by focusing on the long aftermath of cyclone Aila. The comparison highlights different policy options and framings of extreme weather events . Ten years after the cyclone, the aftermath of Aila continues in both regions we studied in Bangladesh and India, but partly for different reasons. In recent years, learner-initiated actions have started to attract more and more attention in research on classroom interaction. It has been recognized that by taking the initiative and by actively contributing to the interaction learners take responsibility of their own learning processes. This article focuses on studentinitiated question sequences in a classroom of young adult immigrants studying mathematics in their second language (Finnish). This chapter focuses on the experience of undocumented college students in the USA. While K‐12 education has been opened to undocumented students, at least on paper, since the landmark case Plyler vs. Doe, college education remains a highly precarious terrain for undocumented students, which offers little to no legal protection. Within the United States, the situation of undocumented college students differs greatly among individual states. Ohjaus Vehkalahden koulussa

Hankkeeni tavoitteena on laatia koulumme ohjaussuunnitelmalle runkoa ja tehdä valmistelevaa työtä ohjaussuunnitelmaa varten. Tämä työ ei siis ole varsinainen ohjaussuunnitelma. Tässä työssä kartoitetaan ja kirjataan ylös kaikki ohjaustoiminta mitä Vehkalahden koulussa toteutetaan eri toimijoiden taholta tällä hetkellä. Hankkeen tarkoitus on avata mahdollisimman selkeästi näkyville tämän hetkinen tilanne kokonaisuudessaan ja selvittää toiminnan kehittämistarpeet. Sen pohjalta koulussamme voidaan myöhemmin jatkaa ohjaussuunnitelman laadintaa ja täydentää näin opetussuunnitelmaa siihen kuuluvalla ohjaussuunnitelmalla.
