Abstract Low compliance to a prescribed Coumadin treatment can result in negative health outcomes. In this study we aimed to evaluate risk factors affecting patient compliance to Coumadin. For this purpose, two study phases were performed: Phase 1: a retrospective eight-year follow-up of databases from health care services; and Phase 2: a cross-sectional study with telephone interviews. A Total Compliance Index was constructed using the number of Coumadin purchases (40%), international standardised ratio (INR) tests (40%), and average INR values (20%). This project has three main aims. First, it seeks to rethink space and spatiality from movement. To do this it follows some significant steps of philosophical tradition (Aristotle, Hegel, Heidegger, Merleau Ponty, Derrida, etc.) in an attempt to demonstrate the close relation between the movement of body and the production of space. No space would exist without an original movement producing it: the body comes out of himself, it spaces, and it is precisely in this dislocation that the spatiality is brought into being (Merleau Ponty). The article shows how the classical political thinking, based on civic virtues, and modernist thinking, based on individualism and self-interest, formed the basis of the U.S. Constitution. The Founding Fathers did not realize the full extent of the rift between classicism and modernity. Within the current political context of global migration the concept of ‘identity’ has played a major role in the struggle between assimilative and exclusionary practices and policies. Such policies in many cases are the result of a wronged imagination about human identity and the subjects who possess it. In my master’s thesis I conceptualize ‘resilient identity’ as an innovative and highly needed approach to studying today’s constantly transforming subjectivity. Come abiteremo domani è la domanda posta nell'ambito del workshop "Futura", che si è svolto a Palermo nel marzo 2005. Attraverso il progetto di architettura vengono indagati alcuni aspetti della questione dell’abitare, sullo sfondo delle trasformazioni e dei problemi del nostro tempo. La scelta condivisa è quella di prescindere dall’attualità e lavorare su alcuni temi specifici dell’architettura, su alcuni segnali/indizi che sembrano condurre a nuovi modi di vita e a nuove forme della casa. Emergono usi differenziati del tempo domestico, dei riti di riunione, dei momenti del ciclo vitale quotidiano; spazi che cambiano di carattere e di funzione in momenti diversi della giornata: da privato …
