One step continuous hydrothermal synthesis of very fine stabilized superparamagnetic nanoparticles of magnetite
2011
International audience; Stable suspensions of citrated SPIO nanoparticles were synthesised in one step using a hydrothermal continuous process. Citrates control the crystallite size and the oxidation degree of metallic ions despite the very short reaction time (4 s). Magnetite particles, Fe2.94O4, with an average size of 4 nm and good monodispersity were obtained.

Changes in trunk posture and muscle responses in standing during pregnancy and postpartum
2018
Este artículo se encuentra disponible en la página web de la revista en la siguiente URL: https://journals.plos.org/plosone/article?id=10.1371/journal.pone.0194853 The aim of this study was to analyze the position of the lumbopelvic region and the muscle activation of erector spinae and biceps femoris muscles in a group of pregnant women in the third trimester. The hypothesis was that pregnancy-related biomechanical and morphological changes modify the position of the lumbopelvic region and the activation of extensor muscles. The position of the lumbar spine and pelvis in the sagittal plane, and the EMG activity of the erector spinae and biceps femoris muscles, were recorded during standing…
Multidisciplinary shape optimization in aerodynamics and electromagnetics using genetic algorithms
1999
SUMMARY A multiobjective multidisciplinary design optimization (MDO) of two-dimensional airfoil is presented. In this paper, an approximation for the Pareto set of optimal solutions is obtained by using a genetic algorithm (GA). The first objective function is the drag coefficient. As a constraint it is required that the lift coefficient is above a given value. The CFD analysis solver is based on the finite volume discretization of the inviscid Euler equations. The second objective function is equivalent to the integral of the transverse magnetic radar cross section (RCS) over a given sector. The computational electromagnetics (CEM) wave field analysis requires the solution of a two-dimensi…
Antisymmetric exchange in triangular tricopper(II) complexes: correlation among structural, magnetic, and electron paramagnetic resonance parameters.
2011
Two new trinuclear copper(II) complexes, [Cu(3)(μ(3)-OH)(daat)(Hdat)(2)(ClO(4))(2)(H(2)O)(3)](ClO(4))(2)·2H(2)O (1) and [Cu(3)(μ(3)-OH)(aaat)(3)(H(2)O)(3)](ClO(4))(2)·3H(2)O (2) (daat = 3,5-diacetylamino-1,2,4-triazolate, Hdat = 3,5-diamino-1,2,4-triazole, and aaat = 3-acetylamino-5-amino-1,2,4-triazolate), have been prepared from 1,2,4-triazole derivatives and structurally characterized by X-ray crystallography. The structures of 1 and 2 consist of cationic trinuclear copper(II) complexes with a Cu(3)OH core held by three N,N-triazole bridges between each pair of copper(II) atoms. The copper atoms are five-coordinate with distorted square-pyramidal geometries. The magnetic properties of 1 …
Synthesis, Crystal Structure, Magnetic Properties, and Theoretical Studies of [{Cu(mepirizole)Br}2(μ-OH)(μ-pz)] (Mepirizole = 4-Methoxy-2-(5-methoxy-…
2003
A novel mu-pyrazolato-mu-hydroxo-dibridged copper(II) complex has been synthesized and structurally characterized: [(Cu(mepirizole)Br)2(mu-OH)(mu-pz)] (mepirizole=4-methoxy-2-(5-methoxy-3-methyl-1H-pyrazol-1-yl)-6-methylpyrimidine; pz=pyrazolate). The title compound crystallizes in the monoclinic system, space group P2(1)/c, with a=15.618(2) A, b=15.369(3) A, c=16.071(3) A, and beta=112.250(1) degrees. The structure is built up of dinuclear [(Cu(mepirizole)Br)2(mu-OH)(mu-pz)] units with five-coordinated copper(II) ions (CuBrN3O chromophores) linked by mu2-OH and mu2-pyrazolato bridges that are well separated from each others. The intramolecular copper-copper distance is 3.378(3) A. Magnetic…
Diindeno-fusion of an anthracene as a design strategy for stable organic biradicals
2016
The consequence of unpaired electrons in organic molecules has fascinated and confounded chemists for over a century. The study of open-shell molecules has been rekindled in recent years as new synthetic methods, improved spectroscopic techniques and powerful computational tools have been brought to bear on this field. Nonetheless, it is the intrinsic instability of the biradical species that limits the practicality of this research. Here we report the synthesis and characterization of a molecule based on the diindeno[b,i]anthracene framework that exhibits pronounced open-shell character yet possesses remarkable stability. The synthetic route is rapid, efficient and possible on the gram sca…
Metamorphosis of a butterfly: synthesis, structural, thermal, magnetic and DFT characterisation of a ferromagnetically coupled tetranuclear copper(ii…
2007
The reaction in water of Cu(OH)(2) with 2,2'-bipyridine (bipy) and (NH(4))(2)HPO(4) in a 4 : 4 : 2 molar ratio under an inert atmosphere leads to the formation of a tetranuclear copper(II) complex of formula {[(H(2)O)(2)Cu(4)(bipy)(4)(mu(4)-PO(4))(2)(mu(2)-OH)] x 0.5 HPO(4) x 15.5 H(2)O}, 1, with butterfly topology. The structure of the tetranuclear core in 1 consists of four crystallographically unique copper(II) ions in approximate square-pyramidal geometry with each coordinated to a bipy ligand and interacting through two mu(4)-O,O',O''-phosphate bridges. Additional bridging between Cu(3) and Cu(4) is provided by a hydroxide ligand, whereas two water molecules cap the Cu(1) and Cu(2) squ…
Spin crossover of ferric complexes with catecholate derivatives. Single-crystal X-ray structure, magnetic and Mössbauer investigations.
2005
Complexes of general formula [(TPA)Fe(R-Cat)]X·nS were synthesised with different catecholate derivatives and anions (TPA = tris(2-pyridylmethyl)amine, R-Cat2− = 4,5-(NO2)2-Cat2− denoted DNC2−; 3,4,5,6-Cl4-Cat2− denoted TCC2−; 3-OMe-Cat2−; 4-Me-Cat2− and X = BPh4−; NO3−; PF6−; ClO4−; S = solvent molecule). Their magnetic behaviours in the solid state show a general feature along the series, viz., the occurrence of a thermally-induced spin crossover process. The transition curves are continuous with transition temperatures ranging from ca. 84 to 257 K. The crystal structures of [(TPA)Fe(DNC)]X (X = PF6−; BPh4−) and [(TPA)Fe(TCC)]X·nS (X = PF6−; NO3− and n = 1, S = H2O; ClO4− and n = 1, S = H…

2009
Reaction of copper(II) perchlorate with di-2,6-(2-pyridylcarbonyl)pyridine (pyCOpyCOpy, dpcp) in the presence of sodium azide yields complex [Cu(4)(N(3))(2){pyC(OMe)(O)pyC(OMe)(O)py}(2)(MeOH)(2)](ClO(4)) x 2 MeOH (1 x 2 MeOH), which crystallizes in the monoclinic P2(1)/c space group. Similar reaction of cobalt(II) nitrate yields complex [Co(4)(N(3))(2)(NO(3))(2){pyC(OMe)(O)pyC(OMe)(O)py}(2)] x 0.5 MeOH (2 x 0.5 MeOH) which crystallizes in the monoclinic I2/m space group. Reaction of nickel(II) perchlorate yields complex [Ni(6)(CO(3))(N(3))(6){pyCOpyC(O)(OMe)py}(3)(MeOH)(2)(H(2)O)][Ni(6)(CO(3))(N(3))(6){pyCOpyC(O)(OMe)py}(3) (MeOH)(3)](ClO(4))(2) x 1.8 MeOH (3 x 1.8 MeOH), which crystallizes…
