L'hypothèse est que le potin est l'équivalent d'une parole de sphincter, bassement corporelle par son contenu, son fonctionnement et sa fonction sociale. Tout comme le pet, il est à la fois vide, inconvenant et vital. S'il agit comme un régulateur entre pouvoir de l'individu et pouvoir de la communauté, il demande lui-même à être régulé.

L'ensemble complexe des phénomènes sonores et musicaux de l'expression langagière humaine est culturel. La perception de la musique d'une langue détermine le désir d'apprendre et la compréhension de la langue-culture d'autrui. La reconnaissance et l'enseignement-apprentissage de ces musiques sont des facteurs fondamentaux d'éducation humaine, sur le chemin du dialogue interculturel.

Artemisinin represents a showcase example not only for the activity of medicinal herbs deriving from traditional chinese medicine, but for phytotherapy in general. Its isolation from Sweet Wormwood (qinhao, Artemisia annua L.) represents the starting point for an unprecedent success story in the treatment of malaria worldwide. Beyond the therapeutic value against Plasmodium parasites, it turned out in recent years that the bioactivity of artemisinin is not restricted to malaria. We and others found that this sesquiterpenoid also exerts profound anticancer activity in vitro and in vivo. ‘‘Moralistic’’ punishment of free riders can provide a beneficial reputation, but the immediate behavior is costly to the punisher. In Study 1, we investigated whether variation in status would be perceived to offset or mitigate the costs of punishment. One hundred and nineteen participants were presented with a vignette describing a punishment scenario. Participants predicted whether punishment would occur, how successful it would be, and indicated their attitude to the punisher.
