Artikkelissa tarkastellaan, millaisia merkityksiä kansakunnalle, kansalliselle kulttuurille ja niiden kehittymisen edellytyksille annettiin sanomalehti Suomettaressa vuonna 1863. Samana vuonna pidetyt, autonomian ajan toiset valtiopäivät on määritelty keskeiseksi tapahtumaksi Suomen valtiolliselle olemassaololle. Niiden lähestyminen vilkastutti lehdistön kirjoittelua tärkeinä pidetyistä asioista. Suometar oli tuolloin yksi suurimmista sanomalehdistä ja tärkein fennomaanilehti. Venäjän keisarikunta oli laajentunut nopeasti 1700- ja1800- luvuilla, jolloin valloitettujen alueiden väestö saatiin uskolliseksi erilaisia privilegioita myöntämällä. Näin tapahtui myös vuonna 1809 Venäjään liitetyssä Suomen suuriruhtinaskunnassa. 1800-luvun loppupuolella Venäjän politiikka valloittamiaan alueita kohtaan kuitenkin muuttui, ja vähemmistökansojen omaleimaisuutta pyrittiin vähentämään kulttuurisilla ja hallinnollisilla yhtenäistämistoimilla, eli venäläistämispolitiikalla. Abstract Macroscytus raunoi, a new species of the genus Macroscytus Fieber, 1860, is described from the Morobe Province on the northern coast of Papua New Guinea. The new species is similar in its morphological characters to Australian M. arnhemicus J. A. Lis, 1999. Objectives Increasing evidence suggests that inflammation has a detrimental effect on muscle strength. Our objective was to analyse the association between muscle performance and different disease activity levels in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Method A total of 199 consecutive outpatients were subject to cross-sectional assessment. Background The last Italian prevalence survey on chronic hepatitis (CH) conducted in 2001 showed that the hepatitis C virus (HCV) was the main agent associated with CH. Aim The aim of this study was to evaluate epidemiological changes in CH occurring after 13 years.
