Applying data driven decision making to rank vocational and educational training programs with TOPSIS

Abstract In this paper we present a multi-criteria classification of Vocational and Educational Programs in Extremadura (Spain) during the period 2009–2016. This ranking has been carried out through the integration into a complete database of the detailed information of individuals finishing such studies together with their labor data. The multicriteria method used is TOPSIS together with a new decision support method for assessing the influence of each criterion and its dependence on the weights assigned to them. This new method is based on a worst-best case scenario analysis and it is compared to a well known global sensitivity analysis technique based on the Pearson's correlation ratio.

Abstract Electronic Data Interchange (EDI)—despite its basic simplicity—forms a complex and inter-organizational innovation. This necessitates multiple points of observation and the use of multiple theoretical frames in accounting EDI diffusion processes. Based on field study data we deliver a multi-level account of EDI diffusion in Finland. The refugee entrepreneurship process from/in emerging economies

The paper examines several refugee experiences in Mexico and presents their reasons for leaving their home countries. A gap in research is identifying the entrepreneurial process experienced by refugee entrepreneurs. We use the case study of 10 Latin American refugees in Mexico to propose a conceptual framework that describes the entrepreneurial process of refugee entrepreneurs. We have found that this process begins with the abandonment of the country of origin, followed by the traumatic experiences that caused flight and the difficulties they face in the pilgrimage to the host country. These events help shape the entrepreneurial intention of the refugees.

The impact of information and communication technology (ICT), education and regulation on economic freedom in Islamic Middle Eastern countries

Our study investigated the impact of ICT expansion on economic freedom in the Middle East (Bahrain, Iran, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, United Arab Emirates, and Yemen).
