Operators on PIP-Spaces and Indexed PIP-Spaces

2009

As already mentioned, the basic idea of pip-spaces is that vectors should not be considered individually, but only in terms of the subspaces V r (r Є F), the building blocks of the structure. Correspondingly, an operator on a pipspace should be defined in terms of assaying subspaces only, with the proviso that only continuous or bounded operators are allowed. Thus an operator is a coherent collection of continuous operators. We recall that in a nondegenerate pip-space, every assaying subspace V r carries its Mackey topology \(\tau (V_r , V \bar{r})\) and thus its dual is \(V \bar{r}\). This applies in particular to \(V^{\#}\) and V itself. For simplicity, a continuous linear map between two…

Lengths of radii under conformal maps of the unit disc

1999

If E f ( R ) E_{f}(R) is the set of endpoints of radii which have length greater than or equal to R > 0 R>0 under a conformal map f f of the unit disc, then cap ⁡ E f ( R ) = O ( R − 1 / 2 ) \operatorname {cap} E_{f}(R)=O(R^{-1/2}) as R → ∞ R\to \infty for the logarithmic capacity of E f ( R ) E_{f}(R) . The exponent − 1 / 2 -1/2 is sharp.

The best constant for the Sobolev trace embedding from into

2004

Abstract In this paper we study the best constant, λ 1 ( Ω ) for the trace map from W 1 , 1 ( Ω ) into L 1 ( ∂ Ω ) . We show that this constant is attained in BV ( Ω ) when λ 1 ( Ω ) 1 . Moreover, we prove that this constant can be obtained as limit when p ↘ 1 of the best constant of W 1 , p ( Ω ) ↪ L p ( ∂ Ω ) . To perform the proofs we will look at Neumann problems involving the 1-Laplacian, Δ 1 ( u ) = div ( Du / | Du | ) .

Compactness of a conformal boundary of the Euclidean unit ball

2011

We study conformal metrics d‰ on the Euclidean unit ball B n : We assume that either the density ‰ associated with the metric d‰ satisfies a logarithmic volume growth condition for small balls or that ‰ satisfies a Harnack inequality and a suitable sub-Euclidean volume growth condition. We prove that the ‰-boundary @‰ B n is homeomorphic to S ni1 if and only if @‰ B n is compact. In the planar case, the compactness of @‰ B 2 is further equivalent to local connectivity of the ‰-boundary together with the boundedness of (B 2 ;d‰):

Absolute continuity of mappings with finite geometric distortion

2015

Suppose that ⊂ R n is a domain with n ≥ 2. We show that a continuous, sense-preserving, open and discrete mapping of finite geometric outer distortion with KO(·,f) ∈ L 1/(n 1) loc () is absolutely continuous on almost every line parallel to the coordinate axes. Moreover, if U ⊂ is an open set with N(f,U) 0 depends only on n and on the maximum multiplicity N(f,U).

Internacionalización de empresas a través de clústeres: análisis bibliométrico de palabras clave de 152 publicaciones destacadas en el período 2009-2…

2022

[EN] While countless studies on the role of clusters in regional economic developments and business performance have been done, some disadvantages and limitations also have been identified. Limitations such as small local markets, limited resources, isolation, and over-independence which lead companies to a lock-in state regarding knowledge and innovation can be solved by means of internationalization or foreign market expansion. Therefore, the internationalization of clusters still needs more attention. Furthermore, by conducting a bibliometric study based on the keywords from previous research, this investigation intends to identify the principal and most influential items, their relation…

Fixed points in weak non-Archimedean fuzzy metric spaces

2011

Mihet [Fuzzy $\psi$-contractive mappings in non-Archimedean fuzzy metric spaces, Fuzzy Sets and Systems, 159 (2008) 739-744] proved a theorem which assures the existence of a fixed point for fuzzy $\psi$-contractive mappings in the framework of complete non-Archimedean fuzzy metric spaces. Motivated by this, we introduce a notion of weak non-Archimedean fuzzy metric space and prove that the weak non-Archimedean fuzzy metric induces a Hausdorff topology. We utilize this new notion to obtain some common fixed point results for a pair of generalized contractive type mappings.

Common fixed point theorems of integral type for OWC mappings under relaxed condition

2017

In this paper, we prove a common fixed point theorem for a pair of occasionally weakly compatible (owc) self mappings satisfying a mixed contractive condition of integral type without using the triangle inequality. We prove also analogous results for two pairs of owc self mappings by assuming symmetry only on the set of points of coincidence. These results unify, extend and complement many results existing in the recent literature. Finally, we give an application of our results in dynamic programming.

Some common fixed point theorems for owc mappings with applications

2013

Starting from the setting of fuzzy metric spaces, we give some new common fixed point theorems for a pair of occasionally weakly compatible (owc) self-mappings satisfying a mixed contractive condition. In proving our results, we do not need to use the triangular inequality. Also we obtain analogous results for two pairs of owc self-mappings by assuming symmetry only on the set of points of coincidence. These results unify, extend and complement some results existing in the literature. Finally, we give some applications of our results.

Commutator anomalies and the Fock bundle

1990

We show that the anomalous finite gauge transformations can be realized as linear operators acting on sections of the bundle of fermionic Fock spaces parametrized by vector potentials, and more generally, by splittings of the fermionic one-particle space into a pair of complementary subspaces. On the Lie algebra level we show that the construction leads to the standard formula for the relevant commutator anomalies.
