Myasthenia gravis associated with Charcot-Marie-Tooth neuropathy: report of a case

We report the case of a 24 year old woman who developed myasthenia gravis in the course of a mild form of Charcot-Marie-Tooth neuropathy. We describe the clinical manifestations together with the neurophysiological, pathological, serological findings and response to therapy and discuss the unusual association in the light of the relevant literature. © 1992 Masson Italia Periodici S.r.l.

This paper deals with the outcomes of Galenism in Greek Late Antiquity and in the first period of the Byzantine era, considering particularly the rare but significant elements of novelty which are present in the rereading of the ancient tradition by John of Alexandria, in the Alexandrian Summaries of the Galenic Canon, and by Stephanus and Theophilus Protospatharius.

Many writers started their professional lives in very diverse fields before embracing writing, or on the contrary have turned away from writing. The present volume seeks to explore the complex relationship between that ‘other life’ and writing. International audience; Cet article part de l'absence de débat sur la politique culturelle au cours de la campagne électorale des élections présidentielles et législatives du printemps 2002. Il montre les ressorts de cette atonie, avant d'expliquer le réflexe anti-fasciste qui marque les semaines qui suivent le premier tour des présidentielles et la présence de Jean-Marie Le Pen au second tour. L'analyse de la défaite du candidat socialiste est aussi un moment de remise en cause du modèle français de politique culturelle. Le débat s'estompe vite et ne débouche pas sur la mise en place d'une politique culturelle 'refondée'.
