Since 2009, the La Cheppe (Marne) oppidum is the subject of a research project comprising an inventory survey, excavations, geophysical surveys and a LiDAR The presentation focuses on new data concerning the internal area of the oppidum from two angles: the impact of events after the Gallic era (in particular the Napoleonic excavations and the 1914-18 conflict) and the organization of the Gallic city with a particular look focused on elongated structures with specific morphology whose interpretation is in question.

The Ecuelles Charmoy site is one of the first Late Hallstatt settlements to be discovered on the edge of the plateau that dominates the Seine-Yonne confluence. In use for only a short period at the end of the 5th and during the first half of the 4th century BC, the site includes postholed buildings, storage pits and other structures in an organized domestic space. The pottery, especially the painted ware, is particularly abundant in the storage pits and constitutes a reference of local ware and its production. International audience; In the area of gallo-roman sanctuary of La Bauve in Meaux, almost 200 weapons fragment from the early La Tène period have been found.Swords, spears and shield elements are underrepresented. However, scabbards are particularly numerous. Only few elements give some informationabout the chronology. They point out the La Tène B2 period, which explain the difference between Meaux and La Villeneuve-au-Châtelot.“Miniatures” swords are also worth note. The question is: are they just functional object or symbolic one?

Localisée en limite SE de l’agglomération rémoise, sur la commune de Cernay-les-Reims, l’emprise de l’opération porte sur une surface de 11 300 m2. Cette neuvième concentration de vestiges, fouillée sur un parc d’activité, correspond à un établissement rural de l’Antiquité tardive, prolongé à l’époque médiévale par une zone d’activité artisanale. Ces deux occupations se développent le long d’un axe de circulation qui perdure vraisemblablement de l’Antiquité à la première guerre mondiale.
