In the setting of hematological neoplasms, changes in the bone marrow (BM) stroma might arise from pressure exerted by the neoplastic clone in shaping a supportive microenvironment, or from chronic perturbation of the BM homeostasis. Under such conditions, alterations in the composition of the BM stroma can be profound, and could emerge as relevant prognostic factors. In this Review, we delineate the multifaceted contribution of the BM stroma to the pathobiology of several hematological neoplasms, and discuss the impact of stromal modifications on the natural course of these diseases. Induction and expression of immunity depends upon processing and presentation of antigens to T-cells by bone marrow derived HLA-DR+ antigen presenting cells (APC). In the induction of immunity to cutaneous antigens, the initial stages of this process begin within the skin itself, and both epidermis and dermis contain bone-marrow derived cells that have the capability of processing and presenting antigens. In normal epidermis, HLA-DR expression is believed to be confined to Langerhans cells with Birbeck granules and indeterminate cells without Birbeck granules. La ricerca analizza sia i processi macrosociali, riferiti alla comunità, sia i processi micro, propri della dinamica di coppia. Per i primi abbiamo esaminato la percezione di diversità che può scaturire dalle dinamiche intergruppali e l’identità di luogo (intesa come radicamento nel nuovo contesto di accoglienza); per le dinamiche di coppia si sono prese in esame l’impatto che la presenza dei figli genera sulla dinamica di coppia e gli stili educativi adottati. Coerentemente con il metodo d’indagine della ricerca qualitativa, sono state intervistate 22 coppie miste residenti in Sicilia. In recent times thorough changes concerning the treatment of the wedding vows take place. One of the ways to create a positive approach to marriage seems to be a solemn observation of marriage jubilees .The paper deals with the historical process of the development of the forms of observance concerning wedding anniversaries. However the main emphasis is put on the rites of wedding anniversary in post conciliar liturgical books. The reader may also become aware of the idea and history of pilgrimages organized on the occasion of the silver and golden marriage jubilees, considering also a strong and clear testimony to the importance of the wedding vows.
Extending the Limits of Nature. Political Animals, Artefacts, and Social Institutions

This essay discusses how medieval authors from the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries dealt with a philosophical problem that social institutions pose for the Aristotelian dichotomy between natural and artificial entities. It is argued that marriage, political community, and language provided a particular challenge for the conception that things which are designed by human beings are artefacts. Medieval philosophers based their arguments for the naturalness of social institutions on the anthropological view that human beings are political animals by nature, but this strategy required rethinking the borderline between nature and art. Stalin’s critique of the idea of the class character of language

Shedding light on the different Soviet linguistic approaches to the phenomenon of the class character of language, this paper shows that Stalin’s 1950 critique of Nikolaj Marr’s views echoed criticism that had already been addressed to Marr by his contemporaries. The idea of the class character of language did not amount to a single coherent theory, in Soviet linguistics, of social and linguistic structures, but in many cases remained an abstract theoretical construct. Even if some linguists manifestly subscribed to the Marrist dogma, it did not immediately follow that the idea of the class character of language had exerted significant influence on the actual analysis of language material. …
