Intimate partner violence against women (IPVAW) is a major public health problem in countries around the world, including the Nordic region. Contrary to what would be expected, as the Nordic countries are rated among the most gender equal in the world, survey data suggests that the lifetime prevalence rates of IPVAW in Sweden and neighboring Nordic countries are among the highest in the EU. L’enfance apparaît chez Rachid O. comme une période à laquelle il accorde une grande attention dans son œuvre romanesque, mais aussi comme le pivot autour duquel tournent le questionnement sur son identité homosexuelle, ses rapports familiaux et son écriture. Cet article interroge la représentation de l’enfance et sa panoplie de constructions imaginaires, mais aussi les structures symboliques de la filiation et de la transmission, là où elles dévoilent le réel de l’écrivain et montrent l’enjeu de la jouissance.

Kvalitatīvie dati tika iegūti, izmantojot līdzdalīgo novērojumu, vizuālās dokumentācijas metodi un padziļinātās intervijas ar desmit vīriešiem. Pētījumā tiek piedāvāts ieskats teorētiskajā literatūrā par dzimtes identitātes izspēli un vērtību piešķiršanas sociālo konstruēšanu plašākā kultūras ietvarā. The novel contributed to the public debate on the defects of the legal system which discriminated against women and made them totally dependent on their fathers and husbands. Homosexual male sex work is undoubtedly a complex phenomenon, underestimated and overlooked not just in scientific research,2 but also in social policy. The social realities of sex work, as well as the sex workers themselves, are often pigeonholed and confused with various other phenomena (including child abuse; paedophilia; human trafficking and exploitation; drug use and addiction, etc.), which, though they may sometimes be involved, have swayed the focus of research. The present chapter will discuss main sociological perspectives on male sex work.

In this paper, we explore women’s participation in esports and competitive gaming. We will analyze two different types of research material: online questionnaire responses by women explaining their reluctance to participate in esports, and online forum discussions regarding women’s participation in competitive Overwatch. We will examine the ways in which women’s participation – its conditions, limits and possibilities – are constructed in the discussions concerning women gamers, how women are negotiating their participation in their own words, and in what ways gender may affect these processes.
