The eye movement component that rotates around the line of sight, i.e., the ocular torsion, is in many aspects different from horizontal and vertical eye movements. While ocular torsion is mediated only by reflexive pathways like the torsional vestibulo-ocular and optokinetic reflexes (TVOR and OKN, respectively), horizontal and vertical components are also subject to intentional control mechanisms that are mediated by the saccadic and the pursuit systems. In this paper a comprehensive system-level computational model of oculomotor pathways is presented. This model shows the necessity of embedding internal models of muscles biomechanics in the cerebellar Vermis to realize fast saccadic eye movements based on predicting the changes in muscles lengths. First, the eye biomechanics are described by nonlinear equations during “slow” and “fast” movements. Afterward, by analyzing these equations, a computational model, is deduced. When reading text, observers alternate periods of stable gaze (fixations) and shifts of gaze (saccades). An important debate in the literature concerns the processes that drive the control of these eye movements. Past studies using strings of letters rather than meaningful text ('z-reading') suggest that eye movement control during reading is, to a large extent, controlled by low-level image properties. Vīriešu mājdzemdību pieredzes naratīva analīze

Maģistra darbā “Vīriešu mājdzemdību pieredzes naratīva analīze” mērķis ir noskaidrot vai un kā tēvu maskulinitāte ietekmē viņu mājdzemdību pieredzes stāstu veidošanu, izmantojot naratīva analīzi. Pētījuma ietvaros ir veiktas septiņas daļēji strukturētas intervijas ar tēviem, kuriem ir mājdzemdību pieredze. Intervijas analizētas izmantojot naratīva analīzi. Darba teorētiskais ietvars ir balstīts Reivinas Konnelas (Raewyn Connell) hegemoniskās maskulinitātes teorētiskā koncepta ietvaros. Tēvu maskulinitāte ietekmē pieredzes stāstu veidošanu, kā arī viņu izpratni par tēvu lomu ģimenē un attiecībās.

Bakalaura darba “Hegemonās maskulinitātes diskurss: Latvijas X un Y paaudžu vīriešu interviju analīze” mērķis ir noskaidrot hegemonās maskulinitātes diskursu izvēlētās paaudzēs un uzzināt gan sabiedrības, gan vīriešu komunicēto viedokli par hegemonu maskulinitāti, izmantojot no intervijas ar vīriešiem, novērojuma un sabiedrības anketēšanas iegūtus datus. Pētījums balstās uz Rejenas Koneles un Mihaela Kimela atziņām par maskulīno hegemoniju, to izpausmēm un attiecībām ar citām maskulinitātēm. Kā Tajā arī tika aplūkoti jaunākie maskulinitātes pētījumi, tostarp arī par inkluzīvās un toksiskās maskulinitātēm.
