Obecnie Krym zamieszkuje około stu dwudziestu pięciu narodów, wśród których Polacy stanowią dość niewielką grupę. Część współczesnych krymskich Polaków to potomkowie polskich uchodźców, którzy przybyli na półwysep w pierwszej połowie XX wieku. Artykuł prezentuje analizę znajdujących się w krymskich archiwach informacji dotyczących tej tematyki. Omawia historię działalności społeczno-kulturalnej polskiej społeczności w tym okresie. Opublikowane materiały mogą nie tylko zainteresować badaczy, lecz także być pomocne w odnawianiu zerwanych więzi rodzinnych, a również w rozwiązywaniu problemów napływających do Polski uchodźców, których liczba stale rośnie.

A linear amphoteric poly(amidoamino acid), L-ARGO7, is prepared by Michael-type polyaddition of L-arginine with N,N′-methylenebisacrylamide. Chain-extension of acrylamide end-capped L-ARGO7 oligomers with piperazine leads to high-molecular-weight copolymers in which L-arginine maintains its absolute configuration. Acid/base properties of L-ARGO7 polymers show isolectric points of ≈10 and positive net average charges per repeating unit at pH = 7.4 from 0.25 to 0.40. The advances of short interfering RNA (siRNA)-mediated therapy provide a powerful option for the treatment of many diseases, including cancer, by silencing the expression of targeted genes involved in the progression of the pathology. On this regard, a new pH-responsive polycation derived from inulin, Inulin-g-imidazole-g-diethylenetriamine (INU-IMI-DETA), was designed and employed to produce INU-IMI-DETA/siRNA "Inulin COmplex Nanoaggregates" (ICONs). The development of a 3D microstructural model for the analysis of degradation and failure in polycrystalline materials is reviewed in the present chapter. The material is explicitly modelled at the grain level, using integral equations in conjunction with a phenomenological crystal plasticity framework for the bulk grains, and with cohesive-frictional laws to represent inter-granular micro-cracking processes. The C-ethyl-2-methylresorcinarene (1) forms 1:1 in-cavity complexes with aromatic N,N′-dioxides, only if each of the aromatic rings has an N−O group. The structurally different C-shaped 2,2′-bipyridine N,N′-dioxide (2,2′-BiPyNO) and the linear rod-shaped 4,4′-bipyridine N,N′-dioxide (4,4′-BiPyNO) both form 1:1 in-cavity complexes with the host resorcinarene in C4v crown and C2v conformations, respectively. Zinc oxide (ZnO) nanostructures are widely used in optical sensors and biosensors. Functionalization of these nanostructures with polymers enables optical properties of ZnO to be tailored.
