Restricting irreducible characters to Sylow đ-subgroups
2018
We restrict irreducible characters of finite groups of degree divisible by p p to their Sylow p p -subgroups and study the number of linear constituents.
Some Common Fixed Point Results in Cone Metric Spaces
2009
We prove a result on points of coincidence and common fixed points for three self-mappings satisfying generalized contractive type conditions in cone metric spaces. We deduce some results on common fixed points for two self-mappings satisfying contractive type conditions in cone metric spaces. These results generalize some well-known recent results.
Rectifiability of RCD(K,N) spaces via δ-splitting maps
2021
In this note we give simplified proofs of rectifiability of RCD(K,N) spaces as metric measure spaces and lower semicontinuity of the essential dimension, via -splitting maps. The arguments are inspired by the Cheeger-Colding theory for Ricci limits and rely on the second order differential calculus developed by Gigli and on the convergence and stability results by Ambrosio-Honda. peerReviewed
On distinguished polynomials and their projections
2012
We study projections and injections between projective tensor products spaces or spaces of polynomials and we show that the example of a polynomial constructed in (4), that is neither p-dominated nor compact, can be identified with the projection map of the symmetric tensor product onto the space. Also we give a characterization of the weak and quasi approximation properties on symmetric tensor products.
The algebraic structure of cohomological field theory
1993
Abstract The algebraic foundation of cohomological field theory is presented. It is shown that these theories are based upon realizations of an algebra which contains operators for both BRST and vector supersymmetry. Through a localization of this algebra, we construct a theory of cohomological gravity in arbitrary dimensions. The observables in the theory are polynomial, but generally non-local operators, and have a natural interpretation in terms of a universal bundle for gravity. As such, their correlation functions correspond to cohomology classes on moduli spaces of Riemannian connections. In this uniformization approach, different moduli spaces are obtained by introducing curvature siâŚ
Unitary Representations of U q (đ°đŠ}(2,â)),Âśthe Modular Double and the Multiparticle q -DeformedÂśToda Chain
2002
The paper deals with the analytic theory of the quantum q-deformed Toda chains; the technique used combines the methods of representation theory and the Quantum Inverse Scattering Method. The key phenomenon which is under scrutiny is the role of the modular duality concept (first discovered by L. Faddeev) in the representation theory of noncompact semisimple quantum groups. Explicit formulae for the Whittaker vectors are presented in terms of the double sine functions and the wave functions of the N-particle q-deformed open Toda chain are given as a multiple integral of the MellinâBarnes type. For the periodic chain the two dual Baxter equations are derived.
A poincarďż˝-bendixson theorem for analytic families of vector fields
1995
We provide a characterization of the limit periodic sets for analytic families of vector fields under the hypothesis that the first jet is non-vanishing at any singular point. Also, applying the family desingularization method, we reduce the complexity of some of these sets.
A Hake-Type Theorem for Integrals with Respect to Abstract Derivation Bases in the Riesz Space Setting
2015
Abstract A Kurzweil-Henstock type integral with respect to an abstract derivation basis in a topological measure space, for Riesz space-valued functions, is studied. A Hake-type theorem is proved for this integral, by using technical properties of Riesz spaces.

Artin groups of spherical type up to isomorphism
2003
AbstractWe prove that two Artin groups of spherical type are isomorphic if and only if their defining Coxeter graphs are the same.
