Gauge-invariant truncation scheme for the Schwinger-Dyson equations of QCD

We present a new truncation scheme for the Schwinger-Dyson equations of QCD that respects gauge invariance at any level of the dressed loop expansion. When applied to the gluon self-energy, it allows for its non-perturbative treatment without compromising the transversality of the solution, even when entire sets of diagrams (most notably the ghost loops) are omitted, or treated perturbatively.

In the framework of the standard model we propose an approach to the computation of the {ital K}{sub {ital L}}-{ital K}{sub {ital S}} mass difference which does not rely on an effective local Hamiltonian. Using partial conservation of axial-vector current, low-momentum Ward identities, and working at leading order in 1/{ital N}{sub {ital c}}, we relate box diagrams to others where strong interactions can be resummed. After subtracting the {ital K}-to-vacuum transitions, an expression involving only hadronic quantities is obtained. Comparison between two strictly local QCD sum rules

Two strictly local QCD sum rules, analytic extrapolation by conformal mapping and analytic continuation by duality, are developed and presented in full detail. They allow the extrapolation of the QCD amplitude to a single point near zero in the complex {ital q}{sup 2} plane. Being orthogonal to the usual QCD sum rules, they present a drastic enlargement of phenomenological applications. In addition, the stability of both methods is shown explicitly, a fact which makes them particularly reliable. Complete amplitude and cross section structure of one-loop contributions toe + e ??q $$\bar q$$ g

We calculate theO(α 2 ) one-loop contributions to the seven (inn≠4) independent invariant amplitudes describinge + e −→q $$\bar q$$ g in massless QCD. After folding with theO(α 1/2 ) Born term contribution we obtain the nine independentO(α 2 ) structure functions that describe the parity-conserving and parity-violating contributions toe + e −→q $$\bar q$$ g. We use dimensional regularization to control infrared and ultraviolet divergencies.
TheA 1-and the ϕ-meson in QCD

Recently we used a method of stable analytic extrapolation to test whether strictly local duality between the asymptotic and the resonance region, which is believed to be valid in QCD, appears already at the present stage of QCD calculations. Probing the QCD ϱ-amplitude, we found a prominent bump structure in the resonance region, i.e. a rather direct evidence for the validity of local duality. In the present paper we confirm and extend this result by giving two further applications, theA1-meson and the ϕ-meson. While we do not meet theA1, as was to be expected since other sum rules can not separate it from the continuum, too, the extrapolation of the ϕ-amplitude leads to an enormous bump. …
THE OPERATOR PRODUCT EXPANSION OF THE QCD PROPAGATORS

We bring together for the first time the coefficients in covariant gauges of all the condensates of dimension four or less in the operator product expansion (OPE) of the quark, gluon and ghost propagators. It is stressed that contrary to general belief the condensates do not enter the OPE of the propagators in gauge-invariant combinations like [Formula: see text] and 〈G2〉. The results are presented in arbitrary dimension to lowest order in the light quark masses for the SU (Nc) internal symmetry group. Off-forward Matrix Elements in Light-front Hamiltonian QCD

We investigate the off-forward matrix element of the light cone vector operator for a dressed quark state in light-front Hamiltonian perturbation theory. We obtain the corresponding splitting functions in a straightforward way. We show that the end point singularity is canceled by the contribution from the normalization of state. Considering mixing with the gluon operator, we verify the helicity sum rule in perturbation theory. We show that the quark mass effects are suppressed in the plus component of the matrix element but in the transverse component, they are not suppressed. We emphasize that this is a particularity of the off-forward matrix element and is absent in the forward case.
The generation of the ϱ-resonance by QCD

By showing that the imaginary part of a suitable QCD amplitude, after extrapolation up to the cut, exhibits indeed a prominent bump structure where the ϱ-resonance is expected to be, a rather direct indication for the generation of the ϱ-resonance by QCD is given. This is achieved by using a mathematically rigorous method of stable analytic extrapolation, based on the theory of maximally converging sequences of polynomials and the application of conformal mappings.
Ratio of strange to non-strange quark condensates in QCD

Laplace transform QCD sum rules for two-point functions related to the strangeness-changing scalar and pseudoscalar Green's functions $\psi(Q^2)$ and $\psi_5(Q^2)$, are used to determine the subtraction constants $\psi(0)$ and $\psi_5(0)$, which fix the ratio $R_{su}\equiv \frac{}{}$. Our results are $\psi(0)= - (1.06 \pm 0.21) \times 10^{-3} {GeV}^4$, $\psi_5(0)= (3.35 \pm 0.25) \times 10^{-3} {GeV}^4$, and $R_{su}\equiv \frac{}{} = 0.5 \pm 0.1$. This implies corrections to kaon-PCAC at the level of 50%, which although large, are not inconsistent with the size of the corrections to Goldberger-Treiman relations in $SU(3)\otimes SU(3)$.
Improving the kinetic couplings in lattice nonrelativistic QCD

We improve the non-relativistic QCD (NRQCD) action by comparing the dispersion relation to that of the continuum through $\mathcal{O}(p^6)$ in perturbation theory. The one-loop matching coefficients of the $\mathcal{O}(p^4)$ kinetic operators are determined, as well as the scale at which to evaluate $\alpha_s$ in the $V$-scheme for each quantity. We utilise automated lattice perturbation theory using twisted boundary conditions as an infrared regulator. The one-loop radiative corrections to the mass renormalisation, zero-point energy and overall energy-shift of an NRQCD $b$-quark are also found.
