In the present paper we intend to improve the practical accuracy of ERP denoising methods proposed in earlier research by allowing them to take into account possible violations of the underlying assumptions, which often take place in practice. International audience; We propose and study computationally a novel non-local multiscale moving boundary mathematical model for tumour and oncolytic virus (OV) interactions when we consider the go or grow hypothesis for cancer dynamics. This spatio-temporal model focuses on two cancer cell phenotypes that can be infected with the OV or remain uninfected, and which can either move in response to the extracellular-matrix (ECM) density or proliferate. Real-Time Vector Automata

We study the computational power of real-time finite automata that have been augmented with a vector of dimension k, and programmed to multiply this vector at each step by an appropriately selected k×k matrix. Only one entry of the vector can be tested for equality to 1 at any time. Classes of languages recognized by deterministic, nondeterministic, and "blind" versions of these machines are studied and compared with each other, and the associated classes for multicounter automata, automata with multiplication, and generalized finite automata.

This paper deals with the estimation of spectral properties of randomly excited multi-degree-of-freedom (MDOF) nonlinear vibrating systems. Each component of the vector of the stationary system response is expanded into a trigonometric Fourier series over an adequately long interval T. The unknown Fourier coefficients of individual samples of the response process are treated by harmonic balance, which leads to a set of nonlinear equations that are solved by Newton’s method. Abstract This paper investigates the problem of robust finite-time H ∞ control for a class of uncertain discrete-time Markovian jump nonlinear systems with time-delays represented by Takagi–Sugeno (T–S) model. Propagation pattern analysis during atrial fibrillation based on the adaptive group LASSO.

The present study introduces sparse modeling for the estimation of propagation patterns in intracardiac atrial fibrillation (AF) signals. The estimation is based on the partial directed coherence (PDC) function, derived from fitting a multivariate autoregressive model to the observed signals. A sparse optimization method is proposed for estimation of the model parameters, namely, the adaptive group least absolute selection and shrinkage operator (aLASSO). The first large-scale shell-model calculation of the two-neutrino double beta decay of $^{76}$Ge to the excited states in $^{76}$Se

Large-scale shell-model calculations were carried out for the half-lives and branching ratios of the $2\nu\beta\beta$ decay of $^{76}$Ge to the ground state and the lowest three excited states $2_1^+$, $0_2^+$ and $2_2^+$ in $^{76}$Se. In total, the wave functions of more than 10,000 intermediate $1^+$ states in $^{76}$As were calculated in a three-step procedure allowing an efficient use of the available computer resources. In the first step, 250 lowest states, below some 5 MeV of excitation energy, were calculated without truncations within a full major shell $0f_{5/2}-1p-0g_{9/2}$ for both protons and neutrons.
