Comparison between probe stagnation point heat flux measurements and correlation formulas in SCIROCCO plasma wind tunnel tests

A large part of the SCIROCCO Arc Heater Performance Map has been investigated. The heat flux measurements at the stagnation point of t he facility Calibratio Probe have been used to find an experimental fit. Such a formula ha s been compared with the predictions of the De Filippis-Serpico equation and the well known Fay-Riddell formula. Finally the experimental fit has been also compared with the Sa gner-Verant formula obtained at the ONERA F4 hypersonic plasma wind tunnel.
Mosaic floors of roman Villa del Casale: Principal component analysis on spectrophotometric and colorimetric data

Abstract Spectrophotometric and colorimetric data obtained during a measurement campaign aimed at supporting the Roman "Villa del Casale" (Piazza Armerina, Sicily, Italy) conservation activities, are presented. Special attention was paid to the possible variation of the chromatic coordinates, possibly due to the interventions of cleaning, consolidation, and protection. A multidisciplinary study of cave wall alteration will be performed to understand the impact of environmental context on the evolution of wall surfaces. However, sometimes there are samples with insufficient knowledge about their chemical composition. An experimental study of the molecular O2 diffusion process in high purity non-porous silica nanoparticles having 50 m2/g BET specific surface and 20 nm average radius was carried out in the temperature range from 127 to 177 °C at O2 pressure in the range from 0.2 to 66 bar. The study was performed by measuring the volume average interstitial O2 concentration by a Raman and photoluminescence technique using a 1,064 nm excitation laser to detect the singlet to triplet emission at 1,272 nm of the molecular oxygen in silica. [EN] We show a Dvoretzky-Rogers type theorem for the adapted version of the q-summing operators to the topology of the convergence of the vector valued integrals on Banach function spaces. In the pursuit of this objective we prove that the mere summability of the identity map does not guarantee that the space has to be finite dimensional, contrary to the classical case. Some local compactness assumptions on the unit balls are required. A novel measurement approach for power-flow analysis in medium-voltage (MV) networks, based on load power measurements at low-voltage level in each secondary substation (SS) and only one voltage measurement at the MV level at primary substation busbars, was proposed by the authors in previous works.
