An algorithm for earthquakes clustering based on maximum likelihood

In this paper we propose a clustering technique set up to separate and find out the two main components of seismicity: the background seismicity and the triggered one. We suppose that a seismic catalogue is the realization of a non homogeneous space-time Poisson clustered process, with a different parametrization for the intensity function of the Poisson-type component and of the clustered (triggered) component. Abstract Introduction: Acquired haemophilia (AcH) is associated with the development of polyclonal autoantibodies against FVIII, which affect directly the A2 or C2 domain of the FVIII molecule. Immunomodulatory therapy regimes to normalize FVIII levels and to eliminate the inhibitor are essential options in the treatment of patients (pts) with AcH. The aims of the present study were to investigate the response to Rituximab® and to localize the inhibitor epitopes on the FVIII domains. Restoration of digital visual media acquired from repositories of historical photographic and cinematographic material is of key importance for the preservation, study and transmission of the legacy of past cultures to the coming generations. In this paper, a fully automatic approach to the digital restoration of historical stereo photographs is proposed, referred to as Stacked Median Restoration plus (SMR+). The approach exploits the content redundancy in stereo pairs for detecting and fixing scratches, dust, dirt spots and many other defects in the original images, as well as improving contrast and illumination.
