Thermographic imaging tool for children fracture detection

2016

The feasibility of thermographic imaging to diagnose pediatric fractures has been studied in the last years. The advantages lie in being a cost-effective, non-harmful, non-contact and non-invasive technique, since ionizing radiations are not used to get the image. Once the pictures of the affected limb are taken, the processing becomes necessary. In order to reduce the waiting time, a software tool has been developed to provide a diagnosis shortly after taking the image. Sin financiación No data (2016) UEV

Cardiac motion tracking using a deformable 2D-mesh modeling

2001

International audience; Abstract: The work reported here deals with movement tracking in sequences of medical images in order to quantify the general movements and deformations of the heart For this purpose, we partition the first image into triangular patches in order that each object of the image corresponds to a set of triangles. Then, the nodes of the mesh are tracked across the image sequence giving a mesh which warps with the images. The method is applied to cardiac image sequences where the study of the deformation of the triangles is applied to the determination of the movement of the ventricles

Identification of the contaminants present on the surface of lactose for pharmaceutical use and analysis of the impact of their presence on the inter…

2018

The discovery of the problem will go through training techniques at the nanoscale characterization and chemical analysis, the discovery of the industrial problem in society Armor Proteins, the validation of a pharmaceutical lactose. With the aim to increase our knowledge on powders for food or pharmaceutical use, we propose to study the effect of manufacturing processes, shaping, granulation on the reactivity of powders. The first part is devoted to the effect of purity on interactions-Lactose Lactose and Lactose-API measured / quantified by near-field techniques (AFM, SMM, MSAFM) under ambient atmosphere and under stressful conditions storage. Multifunctional Gold Nanoparticles for Image-Guided Microbeam Radiation Therapy

2015

International audience; Owing to their large range of properties which can be accurately tuned by the chemical composition, the shape and the dimensions, multifunctional nanoparticles appear as promising candidates for imageguided therapy. For achieving this goal, we developed the synthesis of gold nanoparticles which are designed for combining multimodal imaging (magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), scintigraphy (SPECT), ultrasound imaging (echography) and X-ray imaging) and radiotherapy [1-5]. Ultrasmall gold nanoparticles were synthesized by reducing gold salt in presence of various highly hydrophilic dithiolated polyaminocarboxylate ligands (linear (DTDTPA) and macrocyclic (TADOTA, TADOTAG…

Regions of Existence and Transformations of (3+1)-D Dissipative Optical Solitons

2006

We demonstrate the existence of stable optical light bullets in nonlinear dissipative media featuring both normal and anomalous chromatic dispersion. Beyond the domain where stable bullets are found, unstable bullets can be transformed into "rockets".

Interactions and transformations of dissipative optical bullets

2007

Nonlinear dissipation provides distinctive dynamical properties to optical bullets. According to the system parameters, the dynamical properties of single bullets range from fully stable to pulsating and instable bullets. We are here interested in the following stage, namely the interaction between several optical bullets.

Optical bullets and "rockets" in nonlinear dissipative systems and their transformations and interactions

2006

We demonstrate the existence of stable optical light bullets in nonlinear dissipative media for both cases of normal and anomalous chromatic dispersion. The prediction is based on direct numerical simulations of the (3+1)-dimensional complex cubic-quintic GinzburgLandau equation. We do not impose conditions of spherical or cylindrical symmetry. Regions of existence of stable bullets are determined in the parameter space. Beyond the domain of parameters where stable bullets are found, unstable bullets can be transformed into >rockets> i.e. bullets elongated in the temporal domain. A few examples of the interaction between two optical bullets are considered using spatial and temporal interact…

Constant gradient magnetic resonance elastography experiments on phantom and bovine liver

2019

International audience; SynopsisMagnetic Resonance Elastography (MRE) is performed by the application of motion-sensitive gradients. In this study, RF pulses are designed with an optimal control algorithm to obtain a desired magnetization phase distribution. Such pulse, in presence of a constant gradient, allows tosimultaneously perform spatially selective excitation and motion encoding. This offers some advantages when compared to standard MRE encoding strategy. Simulations, phantom and ex vivo experiments show that phase-to-noise ratios are improved. These results demonstrate that optimal control-based pulses can be used to encode motion in the MRE excitation phase with relevant advantage…
